| The God of Obelisk Japanese pronunciation: OBERISUKU No Kyo Shin Hei, literally meaning The Immense Divine Soldier of Obelisk The God Of Obelisk, the representation of light and darkness, was the first God card to make its appearance. Not in a duel, but by the hand of a benefactor. One evening, Seto Kaiba was called to the Domino Museum by a woman named Isis Ishtahl, hinting at some rare cards. It was then that Isis explained the conflict of three thousand years ago to Seto, and that he is the reincarnation of an ancient priest. Isis also explained that a set of individuals, by the name of the Ghouls, were after items called the God cards. The cards were immensely powerful, and leaving them in the hands of the Ghouls would be a mistake. Isis wanted to prevent this from happening. The Ghouls had control of two of the God cards -- The Saint Dragon - God of Osiris, and Ra - The Sun of God Dragon -- but didn't have the third. That one was in possession of Isis, which she lent to Kaiba to assist in retrieving the other two. |
