So now that we have this second chance for eternal life, we need to put Jesus Christ in the drivers seat and out of the passengers seat. We need to switch seats with Him so that he can fulfill His good works for our lives. At the same time we need to stay out of His way so He can do whatever it is He needs to do to better our lives.There are so many things that we do to get into His way. When we do that Jesus will sit back and wait to take His proper seat once again so He can go back to work for you.
One way is to worry about whatever our problems in life are. Weather they are small or big worries, they get in the way Of what Jesus is doing for you. It says in the book of Matthew 6:33,34: But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own. Anotherwards, God knows exactly what we need in our lives and that He will provide all things we need so we need not to worry about them. If you can't change what you are worried about, then you have no reason to worry about in the first place. You are just getting in His way. But if you can change it then you will. Jesus will Help you with all of your trials as long as you allow Him to take over the driving in your life.
Negativity is another form of getting into His way. When we look at all of the bad in our situations,again we are asking Him to stand back and wait for me again. When we think any kind of negative, we are letting ourselves become defeated by the enemy Satan.Negtivity is one of the enemies best tools agianst us. It is so easy to fall into a negative attitude than stay with a positive attitude. The enemy sees this and will always take advantage of us when we are that low. When you start seeing yourself think negative thoughts or even speak the negativity, you need to tell yourself that you will not give in and let the enemy win. You will fight Him with the strengh of Jesus. Remember, with Jesus Christ, we can accomplish anything but without Him we are useless and cannot do anything.
Now another way you are getting into His way is by disobedience. In the book of Malachi 3:8,9,10: Will a man rob God?Yet you rob me. But you ask, "How do we rob you?" "in tithes and Offerings. you are under a curse the whole nation of you because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this." says the Lord almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of Heaven and pour out so much blessings that you will not have room enough for. Anotherwards, God is asking for His ten percent of what He has given to you already. That really isn't asking too much. You see, nothing in this world is ours. It is all His. He is the owner of everything you see or think you might own yourself. He just loans it to us to use. But when we tithe and offer Him His ten percent or more, He will overflow us with so much blessings that we cannot see the ends of them. That is because He sees us obeying Him.
Now there is a way to stay out of His way and let Him do His works for you. It's something that we all are afraid to do. " SURRENDER" We don't like this word because it makes us feel like we are powerless. Like we are lowering ourselves to weakness. But really what we are doing is surrendering our lives over to Jesus Christ who died for our sins and wants very much to give us a break from the drivers seat. He in fact wants to drive the rest of the way for us. All you have to do is throw your hands up in the air and say Jesus Take the wheel. I can't do this anymore. And pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus,I know I am a sinner and I know with you I have a second chance for eternal life in Heaven. Because you died on the cross and raising up from the dead for my sins, you have made me clean once again as long as I repent my sins to you. I ask that you come into my life and take the wheel over for me. I'm tired of driving down this road of disaster.I want you to help me find the road to Righteousness. I want you to show me the ways of your light. Please forgive me for sinning against you and I thank you for understanding me and not giving up on me. In your sweet name I pray, Amen.
Now you will have to do this on a daily basis so that you are in constant surrender.You need to keep surrendering to Him so He can stay in His proper seat.I have some great Christian website links that you can check out so you can become closer with our Awesome God and Jesus Christ our Savior.
Remember A man may go to heaven...... without health, without wealth; without fame, without a great name; without learning, without earnings; without culture, without beauty; without friends and without ten thousand other things----- But he can NEVER go to Heaven without Christ.
