I remember, when I didn't know where to go. I didn't have books. So seriously, these are books that I would considered helpful and you might as well. This is also party where I get some of my information.
Any books by Scott Cunningham is really resourceful. He has done a lot about magick and rituals. I also suggest books by Anne Moura (Aoumiel) are really awesome resources as well. Another great book is The Encyclopedia of Herbs and Herbalism which is edited by Malcolm Stuart. When I started with runes, I also found some great books. The Book of Runes by Ralph Blum really starts things out. Then I followed up with the Complete Illustrated Guide to Runes by Nigel Pennick. Trust me, this is an amazing book with soooo much information. There is history, meaning of the runes, variances of the runes, and more. I even learned about Runic Astrology. One other great book on runes that I found was Runes by Andy Baggot. With those 3 books, I was sure on my way to understanding runes.
