Well met and salutations to all for I have seen the light and the glory of the Great Dragon and bring great news of what he has bestowed upon me on the fortnight. It was a dark and humid night and I could not sleep well. I could hear the rats scurrying about much more then previous nights. It was as to say something was a miss and they could feel it in the air. As I started to fall asleep due to my weariness was finally setting in from a hard days work. A bright light lit up my room, and a great roar that hurt yet my ears but yet not my head. I sprung into action thinking that a foul mage was attacking me when a calm voice in my head said to be at peace for I come bearing great news for you little dragon. My first thought was that it was no mage but the all acursed warlocks that have come to claim me for some vile purpose. Once again the voice this time from the bright light sang out to me to be calm and at peace. I was on guard just the same as many things have happened in the past few days that makes one weary. I see a shadow start to appear out of the bright light and I can feel the waves of power, waves of such great power that I pray that I am not struck down by them. Out of the shadow appears the largest head of a dragon that I have even seen, its head engulfs my small room in it shere size of it. The scales on the dragons head shifted colors and random, some white others black and others a pearl. The dragon eyed me and then in a voice that I thought would surly wake the dead in the next three towns said," You young dragon known as Behind's Ye. I bestow this great honor upon thee, you have been chosen to protect, serve and honor my beloved Lady Winnowill." I was taken aback in shock, I was about to ask who this great dragon thought he was but, before I could even get my tongue out of my mouth the light flashed bright and I awoke looking about my room. Was this a dream or a request, I reached to where my daggers should have been only to snatch back my hand as my daggers are hot to the touch. I light the lamp in the room and pull the pillow back, and i beheld that both my daggers had a glowing sigil branded into each blade, the sigil was that of a dragons scale. I got down on one knee and looked up toward the ceiling and vowed that I would serve, protect and honor Lady Winnowill with my life, just as the great Dragon has commanded of me. |
