Battle of Long Island
August 27 1776- British Victory: Americans attacked the Red Lions Inn and this started the Battle. After this attack the british attacked with 200-300 troops. General Howe was trying to distract the americans so General Grant could attack (not the same one from the Civil War.) Americans did well against the odds but in the end they lost.
