I come back.
I want to go
but I can't.
I try to skirt around
I finally conform -
or so it seems.
I try to get away
but something keeps me.
I'm still myself
but it isn't what they want.
They tell me what to do
I brush them off.
I beckon them,
Then I throw them away.
I'm almost there
but they call me back.
I still dream.
I still wish.
I slowly go forward.

I resist.
I beg and plead.
I show off.
I try to escape
but I fail.
