The clash of swords could be heard way off in the distance. Darien and Andrea watched helplessly as Serena fought to defeat Sabrina. This battle in itself is very sad, but even sadder is the fact that they are family. One good, one evil; almost twin-like they battle seemingly to the death. Sabrina: Why are you continuing to oppose me? You can't defeat me... you're too weak! The resounding clash of metal rang though the battle ground. Sabrina's powerful thrusts are narrowly countered by Serena. The long duration of this battle has begun to have taken it's toll on the combatants . Sabrina's once powerful strikes have toned down to her barely being able to make a decent strike. Serena's defense has wore down as well, it's obvious that they cannot keep on going much longer. Andrea: This can't go on for much longer. Darien: I know, just look at them... they're about to pass out. Andrea: It's obvious that hours of fighting is too much for them. But they're still young Darien: Father... please get here soon... Serena may not win this. On the battleground, Serena and Sabrina both stop to rest. Sabrina: (thinking to herself) Father... I know it is my fate to fight this battle, to take over this world with you... but why? Why am I not in control of my own destiny? I don't want to kill Serena, she's my own cousin... we are like twins... (dismissing the thoughts) What am I thinking... No! I must do this for my father, and to get revenge on this world for my mother's death! Serena: (thinking to herself) What is the point of this battle?! Why must I fight against my own cousin?! Why won't she see that this fight is fruitless. We'll end up destroying each other, and then we'll end up fighting for all eternity, as we drift through hell. Such a fate is not one that we should suffer, this battle must end. Father... please get here soon, I don't know how much I can take... I wish mommy was here. ( tearing up slightly, but her emotionless expression stays the same) Andrea: Such a cruel fate this is... but for all of us involved it is such. This destiny that has been pre-ordained for us is not fair, nor is it right. But such is the fate of Stardust Soldiers. Miles away, Andreas and Darien are still in the process of trying to drive the evil force out of their brother Malick. Although it seems as though their attempts are in vein. After hours of making no progress, Isis finally runs in with Jenika running straight behind her, They see Malick strapped down to the alter and tears stream down their faces as he turns his head and he looks upon them with his glowing red eyes. Isis: Oh Malick! Why did this have to happen to you?! Jenika: Isis... you know what we have to do to save him. Isis: Yes I know but... Jenika: We have no other choice! If we don't then he'll be like this forever. Isis: Oh Andreas, Darien... forgive us. Isis walks over to Andreas and pulls him close to her. She wraps her arms around him and kisses him gently. Following suit, Jenika does the same with Darien. Tears fall down their faces as they kiss their husbands, Andreas and Darien are caught at a lose for words and are confused as to what's going on. Isis and Jenika back off and walk over to Malick, Isis slowly unbuttoned and took off her over-shirt and dropped it to the floor. Jenika slowly let her jacket slip off of her and she looked at Darien as it hit the floor. Jenika grabbed each of Isis's hands, and they braced themselves. Suddenly their eyes lit up brightly and long feathered wings shot out of their backs, ripping through their shirts. Some of the pure white feathers floated down to the floor as they spread their wings out. Darien and Andreas were caught in complete awe, at the site. Andreas: Isis... you... you are an... angel?!? Darien: Oh! Jenny?!? Back on the battle field, Darien and Andrea watch as Serena and Sabrina kneel down and rest as they get themselves together for the next round of battle. Darien: (to himself) This battle is making me sick. I can't stand to sit here and watch this. I should be in there fighting instead of Serena. But I'm too weak, Sabrina would destroy me. If father were here, this battle would be over already. He's so strong, he is the most perfect man there has ever been. All my life I have strived to be as good as him, I don't feel as though I am worthy to be his son until I do. He is my mentor and until I surpass him I don't deserve to be his student. He has already surpassed his father, Olan, the great Platinum Dragon and leader of the gods of Minara. He also defeated both of his "perfect" brothers in battle and won the Dragon Mastership from Uncle Darien. How am I supposed to do better than he already has? My destiny will never be realized until I ascend and meet him as his equal instead of just his inferior student. I wonder if Kellell feels the same way about father? What about Serena... does she feel as if she has to fight this battle in order to be of being our father's daughter? Kellell, Essence, Serena... what about you? Back in Terra-Nimh, Kellell cares for an injured Topleka. Essence is in the corner of the room, meditating silently. Kellell: (to himself) Topleka, please pull through... I love you too much to let you die on me! Please! Don't leave me! Darien, you have the power to end this fighting. But you don't trust in your own power. You spend too much time trying to come out of father's shadow. I have found my own light, years ago, but for you it may be harder. You have everything you need, just stop feeling sorry for yourself! Stop thinking you can and start knowing you will. That's the only way you will ever become father's equal. Essence: (to herself) Andrea, you are Darien's greatest treasure in this world. You two have been together since you were young and will be together till you die. As such, I feel that you should be able to help him in this struggle he's going through. Our father does not care if we become greater than him or not, our becoming greater than him is not relevant to him. He loves us for who we are, that is and is how it has always been. Darien, deep down, knows this as well. But until he truly grasps this concept he will never achieve his goal, and his destiny will never be realized anyway. Andrea, you need to help him and support him, and love him with all of your heart. We Stardust Soldiers have been delt such a cruel fate, but that's not what's important. We have the ability and the inalienable right to create our own destinies... we must not forget this, for it in itself is the g reatest wisdom of all. Back on the battlefield, Serena and Sabrina stand, they are ready to begin again. Serena: (to herself) I wish this would end, but since it doesn't seem like it's going to, then I shall continue. (Yelling to Sabrina) I'm ready to fight!!! Sabrina: (to herself) I don't want to do this anymore. I just want to get away from here! (Yelling to Serena) Well I'm not! I have decided that I shall give you all a reprieve. You are all so pitiful that I would be ashamed to defeat you the way you are. I will leave for now. But I shall return on my own accord. Then you shall not get off so easily. Heh heh heh, hasta pasta. Sabrina flies off into the distance with a tiny stream of tears following close behind her. Seeing Sabrina fly away, Serena falls to the ground, dropping her sword in front of her. Darien and Andrea run over to her and Darien holds her to him. Andrea: Oh god... she's passed out. Darien: she'll be ok. All this was just too much for her. She just needs to rest. Andrea: We should get her back home. Andrea notices tears streaming down her face as she opens her eyes. Andrea: Oh, she's waking up. Serena: Darien... is it, over? Darien: for now. Serena: Ugh! Serena falls asleep and Darien and Andrea fly her back to Platinum City, where the drama is being led to its conclusion. Andrea: Darien. Darien: what is it? Andrea: Why didn't you try and stop this? Darien: Me? I'm much too weak! Sabrina would have destroyed me easily. Andrea: You could have stopped her. You have the power inside you defeat Sabrina. Darien: No, I am not strong enough. Andrea: You have to trust in your own power, that's he only way we can win. Darien is startled a bit by Andrea's words, but he keeps on flying while thinking about them. Darien: Andrea... Back in Platinum City, Isis and Jenika, having revealed their true selves, pray over Malick and a light forms over him. Andreas: What is it that you're doing? Isis: We are bringing back the strongest one of us, the only one who can help us save Malick. Jenika: Shakira! Shocked, Darien and Andreas get weak at the knees. Andreas: You can bring back the dead?! Then why didn't you do it when she was killed?! Isis: Because, we all promised each other that we would never do it unless there was some extremely dire need for it. It takes some of the life force of all involved to bring someone back. And there's a chance that too much may be taken and we could die ourselves. But I think that saving the world, and Malick from this evil force inside him, constitutes a resurrection, no matter what the risk. Andreas: Then let me help, take some of my life force to bring her back. I love you to let you do this alone. Isis: Thank you! I love you too... Jenika: What about you Darien?! Darien: Count me in as well, I didn't decide to spend my life with you to let you take such a risk by yourself. Jenika: You're too good to me. Isis: Alright, everyone join hands and leave space for Shakira. They all joined hands around the alter and left space for Shakira. They bowed their heads as Isis and Jenika spoke an ancient draconic language. Suddenly balls of energy flew out of their chests and joined into the ball of energy floating above Malick. Isis and Jenika continued to speak as a bright heavenly figure floated into the room. It was Shakira's spirit coming back to the world.
