Check out Toby's All Grown Up!

This is ARPH6005 Grade A Toblerone. Known to us as Toby Rune Azevedo. He is 10 1/2 weeks old in this picture, and full of himself! Some day I hope for him to be a wonderful agility dog. Toby is an Australian Shepherd that I adopted from Aussie Rescue & Placement Helpline, better known as ARPH.
This is the first picture I ever saw of Toby, while he was still in foster care. He is 9 weeks old in this picture.
Toby is from the mid-west where he was just another farm dog. He was transported up here by the man who adopted his sister, a Blue Merle with white trim. I picked him up in Middletown and drove to Beacon Falls to fill out his addoption paperwork before I could bring him home. This is him on his first day in my home, compleatly tuckered out!
Because I still live with my parents, both Toby and I have to abide by their rules, so no dogs on the furniture. This is Toby, breaking the rules from the begining. I took this shot before I gave him a rude awakening, by dumping him off the couch. He is so cute!
This is Toby sitting in the yard. He is three months and three weeks old in this picutre. He looks more and more like a lab each day! His coat is still wooly and he still has feathering everywhere. I think he may look a bit like a Flat Coated Retriever when he is older.
Toby doesn't care what kind of dog he is, he still loves to play! This is him the next day chewing on his frisbee and begging me to throw it.
I was very happy to throw it for him, and he was very happy to go run and get it! And then play keep away, we are still working on the whole 'fetch' thing. He likes 'tug' and 'keep-away' much better!
And this is Toby on his 'down' command waiting for me to throw his ball. I still can't belive how much I lucked out with this boy! He is possibly the smartest dog I have ever met. He is already housebroken (at three and a half months) follows me everywhere, leash trained to walk on a loose leash, can be trusted off leash in the yard, is boundry trained to the yard and quick to learn new boundries, and has is basic comands. The only one he is iffy on is 'come' but he will always stay near me, if not within touching distance. For this reason we haven't started hiking yet.
