Chocolate and Fruit
Lina-tachi had just stopped for lunch at a restaurant in a
passing town. Gourry, Lina, and Amelia were stuffing their faces while Filia
looked on, depressed at the money she was going to have to spend. Zelgadis was
merely drinking a cup of coffee and Xellos…well he was off doing whatever it
was he was doing at the time. Filia sipped her tea, resolving to put the
free-for-all out of her mind. At least until she was forced to pay for it.
“Ah, Filia-chan! Why so gloomy?”
Filia jumped at the sound of Xellos’s voice. She turned to glare
at him. “What do you want, Xellos?” she spat.
Xellos put on a mock frown. “Oh, my. Is
that anyway to talk to the person who brought you chocolates?”
Filia cocked her head to one side. “Chocolates?
For me?”
“No, for the Golden Dragon behind you. Of
course for you.”
Filia blinked in surprise. “W-why?”
The Mazoku smiled and sat down across from her. “To cheer you up, Filia-chan!” He held out a beautifully
wrapped box.
Filia took it suspiciously. “To cheer me up?
Why on earth would you want to cheer me up? Don’t you feed off my negative
emotions?”
Xellos put a hand to his head. “My, my, aren’t we the suspicious
little Dragon. Let’s just say that this won’t be a regular occurrence. Call it
a whim, Filia-chan.”
She opened the box, muttering, “I wish you’d stop calling me
that.”
“Of course, there is a catch.”
Filia sighed and let go of the chocolate she had grasped. “There
would be. I can’t say that I’m surprised.”
Xellos winked at her.
“I get to eat some of them.” Filia narrowed her eyes, still unsure of Xellos’s
true motives. “Still don’t trust me? Here, I’ll eat one first.”
To prove that they weren’t dangerous, Xellos chose one of the
chocolates. In a slow sort of ritual, Xellos licked the outer dark chocolate
shell of the candy, savoring the way it melted on his tongue. Then, delicately,
precisely, he bit into the petite morsel. Xellos looked up at Filia, his eyes
opened, judging her reaction. She looked on with interest…or was it something
else?
Carefully, Xellos licked his lips, removing all traces of the
melted chocolate. Filia watched as the Mazoku smoothly inserted his tongue into
the opening he had made. Her large blue eyes widened considerably as his pink
tongue darted in and out of the hole, each time bringing some of the chocolate
filling with it. And each time he relished the taste in his mouth for a moment
before delving for more of the treat.
Filia found herself uncomfortably and
uncommonly hot. Once Xellos had finished devouring the inside of the tidbit, he
began to methodically nibble the rich chocolate coating. Filia’s abnormally
large eyes took in the sight before her, just as her ears heard every sound.
Nibble. Nibble. Lick. Nibble. Slurp. Lick. Nibble. The Golden Dragon gulped.
Xellos had finally eaten the chocolate, but he wasn’t done yet.
Lick. Lick. Suck. Lick. Filia began to twitch slightly as Xellos
cleaned his fingers attentively, giving each digit the full concentration of
his mouth. He finished the ceremony with a soft moan of satisfaction, eyes
never leaving Filia’s.
“Positively succulent,” he murmured. Xellos picked up another
chocolate and held it up to her lips, raising an eyebrow suggestively. “Care to
try it?”

Xellos chuckled to himself. His plan to make the Dragon
uncomfortable had succeeded beyond his wildest imagination. Just then, his
sharp ears caught the sound of someone eating. He rolled his eyes, assuming it
was Lina or Gourry having a snack. Wait, no. It can't be Lina or Gourry. It's
too quiet to be one of them eating. Curious, Xellos looked for the source of
the sound.
Momentarily, Xellos caught sight of Filia, sinking her teeth into
a large plum. Xellos watched with open eyes as she began to devour the
succulent fruit.
Juice flowed from the plum, running down Filia's chin. Her tongue
lapped against the fruit, licking up the excess liquid. FIlia's face wore an
expression of pure, unadulterated delight as she attacked the helpless plum
with a ruthlessness that would have made the Beastermaster proud. Her teeth
ripped into the fruit's flesh mecilessly. Xellos felt a strange sensation
coursing through his body as she devoured the flesh, the plum's juices flowing
over her mouth and chin like pale blood. Filia's new vicious nature made him
feel very strange...it was rather pleasant...
Filia was down to just the pit now. Her teeth delicately nibbled
the pulp still attatched, and Xellos could almost imagine those sharp teeth
nibbling him...
Xellos blinked.
Now where had that thought come from? Shaking his head, he looked
back at Filia, who popped the pit into her mouth, sucking fiercly to get every
ounce of flavor from the seed.
Finally, Filia removed the pit and tossed it away. She then
turned her ministrations to her palms and fingers. Xellos stared as her tongue
gently stroked each finger and both palms. Finally done, she licked her lips
and then stood, stretching.
"Xellos. You can come out of the bushes now."
Xellos nearly fell down in shock. Filia smiled to herself and walked past him,
going to join up with the rest of the group. She looked back over her shoulder.
"Are you coming?" Xellos's face went white as he nodded.
"Yes, Filia, I
do believe I am."
