The first king of Jaral was the leader of a rebel group who apposed the first war in the year thousand. He lead his men across the sea to the land of Drax to seek out the dragon god for he was the only one who could stop it. When he arrived and pleaded his case to the god Drax gave him a sword that appeared from thin air and handed it to Jaral with explicit instructions. He was to ride to the center of the battlefield in Trillda where the fighting was most serious, then he was to call upon Drax using the sword.
Jaral did what he was told but didn't realize what was involved. He was not a mag and was not supposed to use an orb of power but he could. When he called the dragon god he came and stopped the war.
After everyone had disbanded Drax told Jaral to sail back to the island where he told the rebel leader to begin a new country. They were the most loyal bunch of humans on the world and worshiped Drax like a father as they built the new city.
Over the years Jaral had two children and his eldest son succeeded him after his death five years later.
The first born male of the Jaral blood line succeeded their fathers and have ever since. Until now. The current Jaral is a widow and his wife never gave him an heir. He too is also dying from the same desease that snared his wife and does not fear the death tht is coming for him. But for the people of Jaral that is not good enough and are worried that they may be out of a king's blood line. |
