CHAPTER 2: ZIOLIX, A FRIEND OR FOE?
It has been a few days since Eric has been wandering about to search for the meaning to his existence, for he could remember nothing except the name “Eric”. It was the 6th day after he left the castle. As he was crossing a bridge, several caped men suddenly appeared from the front and the back, surrounding him.
???: “Codename – Genbu. You shall be confined under suspicions of being a threat to the organization. Please surrender yourselves quietly and we promised your safety.
Eric: Genbu? Argh…my head…Arghhhhhhhhh”
Once again, Eric went berserk, his eyes turned red and his hair turned gray. He then randomly kill the caped men until his energy was exhausted and returned to normal. He could no longer put up a fight against that many opponents. Just as he was about to give up hope, a shadow broke through the crowd of caped men, held onto Eric, and jumped down the bridge, landing on a train that is passing by.
Eric: “Why did you save me? Who are you?”
Kiolix: “Hey, relax bro. That was some pretty cool moves you pulled off just now. I was impressed. My name’s Kiolix.”
Eric: “Don’t beat around the bush. Come straight to the point. What do you want from me?”
Kiolix: “Hehe. Actually I need your strength. I am part of resistance group that is going against the X Crusaders.”
Eric: “X…Crusaders?”
Kiolix: “Wow! You seriously don’t know? They are the army of androids led by X that has been terrorizing the world for the past few months! Anyway, recently X mysteriously disappeared in that fire that broke out in his castle last week, but there are still remains of the X Crusaders. Those guys you fought just now seems to be those androids leftovers. I don’t know why you are targeted but I think it would benefit you if you fight with us.”
Eric hesitated in replying. Of course, he would be safer if he is fighting alongside someone. However, he do not know whether there is any other ulterior motives behind this man’s invitation and moreover, he felt that it would be more of a waste of time fighting with some resistance group since fighting is not enough reason for his existence. He needs something else. Something more important to prove his existence. Hence, Eric left Kiolix and jumped off the train, disappearing into the darkness of the tunnel…
