Hybrid Tea Roses
Hybrid tea roses are what most of us envision when we think of roses.
Most posess the high centered shape of the roses one sees at the Florist

Florist roses are techincally classified as Hybrid Teas.
They  are different from garden Hybrid Teas in a number of respects and
generally aren't commercially available to the home gardener.
So don't go nuts looking for the rose you saw at the flower shop.

In general Hybrid tea roses are:
Respectably disease resistant and easy to grow
Most are winter hardy to zone 6
Varieties are available for hardiness to zone 3
They come in a staggering variety of color
Most have a polite growth habit making them a good choice for flower beds
In warmer zones they can grow to 7 feet, but in general most will stay at three to four feet.

The roses in our garden are hardy to zone 5
Powdery mildew, rust and black spot(most common ailments) have not been an issue with the Hybrid Teas
Fragrance is as varied as the roses themselves.
