Fae opens a large gateway with her magic. Taking your arm, she leads you through. You find yourself in a large clearing, surrounded by trees. Birds and small animals can be heard, proving that the forest was teeming with life. The air seems cooler than when you were in the field. The air had a crisper, lighter sense to it. The place remined you of a mountain top. "Iris should be along very soon to show you around. I will wait with you till she comes," Fae tells you. You thank Fae, and smile at the elf. After a few minuets, you see a dark shadow coming through the forest. Soon, the shadow takes form, and you realize that it is a fairy. "Hi Fae! I see that you have brought a human with you. Well, thats fine, you can leave it with me," the fairy says. Fae nods and returns through the gateway, closing it behind her. The fairy turns twords you, sizing you up. You do the same to her. The fairy, who you assume is Iris, wore her brown hair long, and straight. The fairy stood before you, hovering a few feet above the ground. "My name is Iris, and I am the Keeper of a special dusk dragon named Kuro and a jade dragon named Per'la, who are both from a new agency called ODA, or Orphanded Dragon Adoptions. As soon as Deborah learned about the new agency, she set up a new home. This mountain is called Dusk Mountain. From this clearing, you have the best view of the sun rising and setting in the morining and night." You nod and look around. As you look, you notice a large hole in the ground. You ask Iris what the hole is.

"Well, here, follow me and I will show you." You follow the fairy to the mouth of the hole. You peer down inside of it and see steps leading down. Iris flies past you and down the steps. You look into the darkness again, then, begin the decent. After a few steps, the light from above dissapears and you find yourself surrounded in darkness. You place your hands against the wall to hold yourself steady. After a few minuets, you notice a light just ahead of you. You make your way twords it. Suddenly, you are hurrled forward and land face down on the ground. You pick yourself up with a groan, and look around. You think to yourself that the end of the steps must have unbalanced you. The light was coming from a thick torch in a wall bracket. You pick it up to illuminate your way. You find yourself in a large tunnel that seemingly leads to the center of the mountain. After a good deal of walking, the tunnel widens, and becomes a large room. The room was well lit with torches and was being warmed by a strong fire one wall. The room was decorated with a table, chairs, and things to prepair food with. Sitting at the table was Iris. She had a cup in her hand and was sipping contently. "You certanly took your time in getting here. And what a noise you make!" the fairy comments. You comment on how if the fairy had fallen down a large flight of stairs in the dark, that she would have made a loud noise too. You sit in the other chair and pick up the cup that had been set out for you. "This cave is Kuro and Per'la's home in the day time. Kuro is a dusk, and they do enjoy the sunset and night, just not midday. Deborah also just recieved a Jade, and she living here with Kuro. Kuro and I have done a few things around our home to try and make it a bit more welcome to a younger dragon, and not just one of Kuro's age." Iris tells you. You notice two large doors next to each other at the end of the stone room. The fairy follows your gaze and smiles. "Those doors lead to the dragons' play room, and sleeping room. Here, I will show you." You follow the fairy to the door on the left. She opens the door and lets you in. The large room is filled with toys of all shapes and colors, and many little treasures. "Impressive, is it not?" the fairy askes, and you nod. "Kuro, being an adult, has outgrown most of his old toys, and we were planing on moving them out, but now that we have a young dragon here again, we decided to leave them here. We also added a few new toys that we managed to get from some of the older dragons that live in this forest."
Iris takes you back into the main room, and to the second door on the right. She stops before opening it. "This is where Kuro and Per'la sleep. We were going to build a new room for Per'la, but she wanted to stay with Kuro." The fairy shrugs, "But if she changes her mind and time, we can eaisly create another room. Kuro and I have been busy working on making the room much bigger so that there will be room for at least three dragons!" a worried look comes across her face, "Not that I would want three dragons all living here in the same room! We just wanted to make sure that there will be plenty of room for the two of them. We were just hoping that the new dragon will be put at ease by having another dragon living with it. Would you like to go in and meet Kuro and Per'la?" You nod, and Iris opens the door. Inside it was cool and dark. The room was large, but taken up mostly by a large nest in the center. Asleep in the center, covered by the warm leaves, is a large, full grown dragon. Sleeping next to him was a much smaller sub-adult. Iris giggles, "Kuro.... Per'la! Wake up," Iris whispered in a soft, loving voice. Kuro's eyes flutter open and seek Iris out, then turn to you. He stands carfully, as not to disturbe the sleeping sub-adult and shakes a few leaves off. In the half light, you can see the dragon is a dark shade of blue with a pale yellow underbelly. His spikes on the top of his head and the claws on his feet and wings were also a pale yellow. Kuro reaches over, and puts a large clawed paw over the smaller dragon as if to protect the little one, who was sunggled under the leaves. Kuro stands and looks at you, his large form towering over you, his paw still in the same spot. "Iris, hello, who is this? A visitor?" He sniffs gently at you, "Human if I am correct." "Thats right, the human has come to visit you and Per'la." Kuro's eyes narrowed. "A visitor... We don't get many of them, but your welcome to stay with us for a bit if you desire," he says in a calm, shy voice, but still didn't remove his paw. You smile warrily and give him your thanks. Then, after a moments hesetaion, you ask about Per'la. He lifts his paw off of the hatchling, gently bushing back soft, clean leaves, to fully reviel the young dragon. Her eyes flutter open gently, and she looks around. When her eyes fall you on you, the dragon reguards you without fear. Per'la is a dark teal color with yet darker green-blue on her stomach. Her eyes are black and deptless. You smile at the small dragon, and tell her that she is very beautiful. Kuro's smile is truly sincere. "Thank you, stranger," The small dragon says in a musical voice. Kuro smiles at the young dragon and then at you. "I have lived here all my life, and have only known Deborah, my bondmate, and Iris. I have not interacted with many dragons of my own species, so Per'la is a dream come true for me." He smiles joyfully at the little green dragon, and she returns it, her eyes sparkling. "Has Iris showed you around yet?" you nod, "Good! Well, its almost dusk, would you like to watch it with me and Per'la?" you grin from ear to ear, and thank him for his kind offer, and that you would love to. You pause, thinking, how did he know it was almost dusk? You look up into the dragons pale eyes, and ask how he knew. "Well, since I am a dusk dragon, I sleep mostly during the day, and wake just before dusk. I'm not sure how, but I can always tell when it is dusk, as if it is pulling me to it... Well, come along, we shall watch dusk set in." Kuro, Iris and Per'la take you go back into the main room, and then an eager Kuro leads you back up the stairs, back outside. When you get out of the underground cave, you realize how much time had passed. The sky was darkening, and dusk was setting in. Per'la jumps about happly, frolcking in the fading light of the sun. The last of the sun's rays glinting off of her jade scales. As you stand on the edge of the forest with the Dusk dragon Kuro and the Jade Per'la, the sun sets with the most beautiful array of colors that you have ever seen. After the sun sets, Kuro turns his pale yellow eyes upon you. 'Beautiful, was it not?" he asks. You agree, completly sincere. "I am glad that you enjoyed it. Maybe you can come and visit us again," You agree, and promise that you will. The dragon becomes sheepish, and turns away, "I hope that you will come and visit." You wish him great happness with his new friend. He smiles at you, his pale eyes filled with gratitued, and returns to gazing at the night sky, watching the jade frolick. She turns her black eyes on Kuro, and giggles. She dashes up, and pulls Kuro out to play with her. You watch as the two dragons gambol in growing darkness...
