The path you chose, marked "The Clearing of Play," is very pleasent. The sunlight streams down through the intertwining branches, illuminating the floor and every thing else with a soft glow. The light dances across the floor playfully. When the light toutches anything green, it seems as if the shadows themselves have been stained green.
A warm breeze blows through the path, rustling the leaves of the trees. As you listen to the leaves chime on their branches, you think to yourself how much it sounds like laughter. The warm breeze keeps the realtivly cool air at bay, and you and your guides walk in comfort. Sara's lighthearted humming has shifted to a wordless song of joy.
Small animals gaze out at you with bright eyes, curious, but wary. When you pass them, they scurry away. The birds overhead sing out thire songs as well. Their calls and songs fill the air with a kind of murrmer that drifts just in the background. Kemberance joins Sara in the song, that they both seem to know. It is very lighthearted, and playful.
You walk with the two for some time before you reach the clearing, and when you do, you are awed at the sight.
Toys of all types lay strewn across the floor. Balls, stuffed animals, and treasure of all kinds lay in piles around the clearing. The clearing itself is very large, and has enough room for someone to run around in. You gap at the toys.
Sitting in the center of all of the toys and gems, is a miniture dragon. The small creature is dark green, with saphire blue eyes. It reguards you with suspision.
"Ah, that," Kemberance says, indicating the tiny dragon, "Is Misu, a green Chesmu. Deborah won him in a contest held by Rose Caverens and Keltic Isle. He's my friend. He guards my toys!" You nod, understanding, and Sara continuets.
"Deborah gathered up as many toys as she could, of all different kinds. There is a ton of them here, so Kemberance would be pleased and entertained by this when she was little." Sara grins, and then claps her hands together briskly. "Well, we could stay here for hours, playing with these toys, but they are not ours, so we must leave them as they lay. But come, there are still many places to explore!" And with that, Sara starts her song again, and skips down the path back to the Nexus, with you hurrying after. |
