The Basis Card speaks of temporal knowledge, (an earth card) with a hint of spiritual or creative inspiration. This seems to lay a foundation that points again to mankind's quest for worldly knowledge and profit and my own travels through the first half of my life, following the way of gaining worldly worth.
The Past Card speaks of my fairly recent rebirth into a new existence where I have been able to throw off much of the deep programming of the world and become the true 'fool' who can explore and transmit, in troubador fashion, those bits of wisdom I find in my journeys. It also speaks of strong independence and activism.
The Possible Outcome Card lends its weight in trump. It speaks of a movement in my own spirit to return to the absolute balance of OM, reuniting masculine and feminine, yin and yang, temporal and eternal. The rainbow spread across the torso of the hanged man shows the Chakra system in full bloom and very balanced. This was recently verified in an aura / energy reading done on me by Radiant Journeys. (See my Links page.)
The Future Card shows the Strength Trump. The woman is performing a sacred ritual of spiritual import (at the water), reflecting my involvement in (what were at the time of the reading) future Yule / Solstice rites. It also represents a surge of the goddess into the normally yang-dominated realm of acting in power (fire) rather than the quieter, more mystical and nurturing realms of water and earth.
The Self Card reflects my own current disposition toward things mystic and occult. It is my own contention that men generally could use a good dose of mysticism in their way of dealing with life. It is a more right-brained approach, one more familiar to women. Emotions are more in play, as are archetypal and spiritual forces. Men tend to be purely analytical, needing concrete proofs - less attached to intuition or instinct.
The Environment Card reflects the inherent balance in the dualistic universe. All four elements are represented on a card whose suit pertains to temporal, earthbound concerns. The earth is here acknowledged as a player in its own right, not to be left out of the consideration of mortal man. Mother still has her own power and will not be ignored.
The Hopes and Fears Card speaks of a creative or yang (element of Fire) leap forward. Since this age has been dominated by yang (masculine) energy, this card has a certain ominous portent of male-dominated energy attempting a large push to attain a new level of control.
The Outcome Card is a representation of failure in the realm of the physical. I read it as the financial aspect of the Foundation and Crossing Cards being negative. The swift move of the male driven, profit-motivated activity shown in the center of the Cross and in Hopes and Fears will ultimately have its negative backlash. The balance of the cards are representative of my own processes of uncovering this information and of the changes necessary in humanity as a whole required to minimize the effects of the upcoming failure.
All in all, this is a verification of the predictions of many economic, spiritual, and political teachers - that the greed currently in the lead in world economics and technology cannot carry humanity forward for long. The earth and ALL of its inhabitants need to be cared for, and people like you and me, who are seeking a more balanced solution, based on a unification or harmonizing of spiritual and temporal energies must step forward and be voices for the paradigm shift that is absolutely necessary for our ultimate survival as a species. |
