Origin:  Peter Parker was a normal child at birth, with two loving parents and a full life ahead of him.  One fateful day, Peter's parents were called on an assignment overseas, and left young Peter to the care of his aunt and uncle.  Little did the Parkers' know, but the plane on which Peter's parents were to board on would crash on the way, leaving Uncle Ben and Aunt May to take care of a devestated Peter.
As Ben and May raised Peter like one of their own, he became more and more interested in science.  Because of this, Peter was teased every day by Flash Thompson, and other 'popular' kids. Uncle Ben encouraged Peter to hang out more with kids his age, but Peter refused, instead going back to his books and monster movies.
Attending a radiation demonstration while a senior in high school, an irradiated spider swooped from the lab ceiling, bit the teenager otherwise known as Peter Parker, and immediately died.  Leaving the demonstration immediately, Parker fell into a deep sleep, and when he awoke the next morning, he discovered his incredible powers...
After being bit by the spider, the venom and radiation somehow merged with the boy's blood, and replaced much of his human DNA with spider DNA, giving him extaoridinary powers proportionate to that of a spider.
Parker immediately saw this as a great chance to make money in the TV industry.  Joining an advertising business under the name of "Spider-Man", Peter Parker continued with
a somewhat normal life.  On another fateful
day, the TV program manager was robbed,
and although Spiderman could have easily
stopped the criminal, he decided not to,
instead saying that it was none of his business.
As the day carried on, Peter Parker found a
horrible surprise waiting for him at home.  His beloved Uncle Ben had been the victim of a drive by shooting, and learning the whereabouts of the criminal, Peter donned the costume of Spiderman and chased after the man who had killed his uncle.
Eventually catching up with the murderer, Spiderman learned yet another gruesome piece of truth: the robber he had refused to stop in the studio was the same person who had killed Uncle Ben.  Heartbroken and shocked, Peter Parker vowed vengeance on his Uncle Ben, and used his powers for just causes, catching criminals everywhere.  As Uncle Ben so wisely said, "With great power comes great responsibility."
