| DragonBall Known for being a desert bandit, Yam Cha was orphoned at a young age and wandered the world eventually encountering a martial arts master who taught him how to fight and also how to use the Rogafufken technique. In his early teens Yam Cha met Puar in the Diablo Desert and the two teamed up to mug passers-by for money and other valuables. Yam Cha joined up with Goku after being defeated by him. Yam Cha only joined the party so he could use the DragonBalls to cure his fear of girls but discovered he lost this fear through being around Bulma so much. After Oolong made his wish the DragonBalls, Yam Cha left the group to train for the 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai. Yam Cha was defeated in the 1st round by Jackie Chun , without landing one blow. Yam Cha recognised the fighter as Kame-Sennin but was told to keep it to himself. Yam Cha also participated in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai where he lost in the 1st round by Tienshinhan and the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai where he was defeated again in the 1st round by Shen. After this Yam Cha retired from martial arts at Puars urging and became a professional baseball player. DragonBall Z Although Yam Cha made a lot of money playing baseball, he missed fighting and so eagerly jumped at the chance to train at Kami's Lookout for the arrival of the Saiya-jins. When the Z Fighters took on the Saibamen, Yam Cha managed to defeat his Saibaman but was killed by a Kamikaze attack when his back was turned. Yam Cha trained in the afterlife under the North Kaio and easily defeated the Ginyu Force. Yam Cha was restored to life with the Earth DragonBalls after the defeat of Furiza. At first Yam Cha did not believe Mirai Trunks warning about the Androids but trained nontheless. He was attacked by Android 20 but had his energy drained before he could react. Yam Cha was fatally wounded and only survived thanks to a Senzu Bean. He hellped protect Goku while Goku was suffering from a heart disease. Yam Cha was easily defeated by a Cell Jr at the Cell Games but still managed to help distract Cell long enough for Gohan to defeat him. Yam Cha retired after the Cell Games and tried to hold down a regular job without much success. He was later killed by Super Buu and trained on the Kaio Planet where he participated in the final battle against Kid Buu. DragonBall GT Yam Cha is not seen much in DragonBall GT but he did manage to get a job as an accountant. Whenever he is seen, he's usually at Kame-House.
