| Son of King Vegeta and Prince of the Saiya-jin race, Vegeta arrives on Earth with his partner Nappa one year after the death of Raditz in search for the Dragonballs in order to wish for immortality. After Nappa is crippled by Goku, Vegeta kills him in honor of the Saiya-jins. Vegetas strength was equal to Gokus but by use of the Kaio-ken attack (and helluva lot of luck) Vegeta is defeated and is spared his life by Goku. Vegeta leaves promising to return. Instead of returning to Earth he decieds to go to Namek and gain the Dragonballs there in his quest for immortality. Upon his arrival on Namek he easily defeats his old rival Cui and then meets up with Dodoria. Dodoria tells Vegeta the story of what really happened to his planet. Furiza destroyed the planet because he feared that one day a Super Saiya-jin would rise up to defeat him. An enraged Vegeta kills Dodoria and then senses Krillin and Gohan who have also arrived on Namek to revive their allies. While chasing after them he is confronte by Zarbon. Zarbon easily defeats and captures Vegeta who is taken back to Furizas spacecraft and is placed inside a healing pod. However, Vegeta makes his escape taking the Dragonballs that Furiza had obtained with him. Vegeta is then horrified when he sense the imminent arrival of the Ginyu Force on Namek. Deeply worried, Vegeta makes a hasty alliance with Gohan and Krillin in a joint bid to stop Furizas attempts at getting the Dragonballs. Guldo is easily killed by Vegetas blast but Recoome attacks the group and even the Saiya-jin peace. Goku arrives on the battle-field, defeats Recoome and gives Vegeta a senzu bean, healing Vegeta,restoring his health and increasing his strength. Vegeta goes on the rampage, killing Burter and Jeice. Goku is injured in the fight with Captain Ginyu and it is up to Vegeta, Gohan. Krillin and the newly revived Piccolo to stop Furiza. Vegeta fights valiantly against Furiza but is easily defeated by Furiza and is killed by Furiza just as Goku arrives on the battle-field. After Goku defeats Furiza, Vegeta is revived by the Dragonballs. He stays on Earth and has a son with Bulma, Trunks. He becomes a Super Saiya-jin fighting Android 19 and defeats him easily. Hew trains in the Room of Spirit and Time to defeat Androids 17 and 18 and is also strong enough to defeat Cell in his semi-perfect form. However his arrogance gets the better of him and he allows to Cell to reach his perfect form. Vegeta trains again in the Room of Spirit and Time but is not strong enough to defeat Cell at the Cell Games however he is strong enough to distract Cell allowing Gohan to kill the android with a Kamehameha. 7 years later Vegeta competes in the Tenkaichi Budoukai with the hope of fighting Goku. Though he does not fight in the tournament he gets to fight Goku when he is possessed by Babidi and becomes Majin Vegeta. After defeating Goku, Vegeta heads off to fight Majin Buu but even his self-destruct technique is not strong enough. Later he fuses with goku to become Vegetto and together they fight Super Buu but Vegetto is absorbed. Later when SSJ3 Goku is fighting Buu Vegeta acknowledges Goku as Earths no1 fighter. |
