| Future Trunks or Mirai Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma.Like all Saiya-Jin,Human hybrids he has the ability to go Super Saiya-Jin faster than pure Saiya-Jins.Future Trunks comes from an alternate universe.In this universe Earth was destroyed by the Androids #17 and #18.He comes to our universe(ok,ok the Dragon Ball universe)in search of Goku,so he can be warned of the arrival of the Androids and also to be cured of the virus that he has in his heart(that will kill him before the Androids even show up unless he takes the cure that Trunks was about to give hime when Goku arrived back on Earth) About a year after Furiza was defeated,he came back in android form.All the Z Fighters sensed him and all converged on one spot.Furiza showed up along with his father and just as the Z Fighters were preparing to fight Furiza,Trunks showed up.Furiza was giving Trunks to just well,run away because he didn't want to waste his time on a mere child.But when Trunks took out all Furiza's and King Cold's henchmen in a couple of slashes of his sword,Furiza felt a little different.But he still wasn't too impressed because he too could have done that pretty easily.After pissing the hell off Furiza,Trunks transformed into a Super Saiya-Jin.Furiza has gone kinda psycho after being defeated by Goku so when he realizes that he could be defeated by yet another Saiya-Jin,he pretends not to be scared... Trunks fought Furiza giving him numerous chances to kill him,but Furiza couldn't do it.Even when Furiza unleashed his Death Ball attack,he thought that Trunks was a gonner until he saw Trunks walking casually, holding the Death Ball in his hand.After the insuing skirmish,Furiza was sliced in half,then into about 50 pieces and then blasted to smytherines by one of Trunks's attacks.Trunks then easily defeates King Cold by blasting a hole in his chest.Next up was King Cold's ship. After the battle,Trunks explained that he was searching for Goku and was waiting for him to show up in that exact spot.Trunks was wearing the Capsule Corp logo on his jacket and was also using Capsule Corp merchandise(ie capsules...)Krillin was won over by Trunks after he gave Krillin a grape flavour drink. Vegeta was very skeptical that Trunks was a Super Saiya-Jin,because to Vegeta's knowladge,there were only 2 Saiya-Jins alive,himself and Kakarot(Goku) Goku arrived and after the Z Fighters welcomed him back,Trunks began to explain the situation to him.Trunks explained but swore Goku to secrecy.Goku and Trunks wanted to see each others strength by both going SSJ and having a quick scuffle.It was apparent that Goku was far more powerful than Trunks because Trunks couldn't even land his sword on Goku even once.Goku fought back with his finger and won the scuffle. After returning to his own time,Goku let out the secret to Piccolo.Actually he didn't because of Piccolo's ears, he heard everything.Three years have passed and the Z Fighters have all been training and Trunks returns. During a fight with Android #18,Trunks can't bear to see his father in pain so he stepped into the fight only to have his sword broken and himself severly beaten.It was then that the Z Fighters knew that they were no match for the Androids even with the help of Goku,but.they were still hoping... Trunks enters the Hyper-bolic time chamber with Vegeta.After spending a year in there with his father he emerges to give the others a chance.Vegeta flies off to challenge Cell.Vegeta beats Cell but after Cell made Vegeta think that it was ok for him to let him to absorb #18 so he can become Perfect Cell and give Vegeta the fight of his life,Trunks then challenged Vegeta and with one energy blst,Vegeta went over the horizon. Trunks attacked the newy formed Perfect Cell only to find that he was no match.Vegeta and Cell then began their fight.Cell was toying with Vegeta and after Vegeta was knocked onconcious,Trunks stepped in once again and fought Cell except this time he fought him as an USSJ(Ultra Super Saiya-Jin)It was apparent that USSJ Trunks was more powerful than Cell but because of the new bulky muscles of the transformation, Trunks couldn't even hit Cell.So while Trunks used all his energy trying to hit Cell(and failing)Cell remained strong.Trunks also realized that Vegeta could have also done this but knew the drawbacks so Trunks felt that he was blinded by the truth by his own quest for power. After been beaten by Cell,it was revealed to him that Cell wanted to hold a tournament to test his strength. Trunks returned to the Hyper-bolic time chamber to train some more,but this time he'd be more vigilant.Trunks trained and then emerged.During the Cell Games(Cell's tournament)Trunks was made fight one of the Cell Juniors,who were extremely powerful.SSJ Trunks and the other Z Fighters couldn't even beat them.After the Cell Juniors were destroyed by SSJ2 Gohan,Trunks was killed by Ultra Perfect Cell.Trunks was revived with the Dagon Balls.And after a day he returned to his own time. After a brief encounter with his mother,Bulma,Trunks went in search of the Androids to destroy them.Luckily for Trunks just as he was home there was a report that they were attacking a near-bye city.Trunks fought the over-confident Androids and destroyed them.Soon he returned home and found Cell.Cell was stronger than the Androids and Trunks was forced to turn SSJ so there wouldn't be a chance that Cell would be able to absorb him.Trunks fought him and consequently,destroyed Cell. |
