| DBZ Special 01: Bardock, The Father of Goku The father of Goku and Raditz. Bardock was the leader of a group of Saiya-jin warriors serving Furiza. Bardock did not want to develop an emotional attachment to his newborn son, Kakkarot, as he feared he would be sent away, like Raditz. While conquering the planet Kenassa, Bardock was hit by a strange attack that allowed him to see the future. In the future he saw Furiza destroying Planet Vegeta and tried to rally the Saiya-jin against him but was laughed at. Bardocks party were ambushed by Dodorias men at planet Meet and although Bardock defeated the enemy troops, his entire squadron was wiped out. When Bardock recovered hje soaked up his friends blood in a hankerchief and wore it as a bandana. He returned to Planet Vegeta where he finally decided to confront Furiza. Bardock confronts him but he (and Furiza entire army who were just standing there) are killed by Furizas death Ball. His sons space pod was sent away moments before the destruction of Planet Vegeta and the last vision bardock has convinces him that Kakkarot will defeat Furiza. Dragon Ball Z Bardock is seen in several flashbacks in DBZ and in the dub is wrongly refered to as the inventor of the Power Ball technique that Vegeta uses to turn Oozaru. |
