| DragonBall Z As a teenage boy 17 was taken by Dr Gero and given cybernetic attachments making him Android 17, an android with the mission to destroy Goku. However, Android 17 and his twin sister 18 were considered unstable by Dr Gero and were shutdown. Years later when facing defeat by the Z Fighters, Dr Gero had no choice but to activate the Androids and 18 and 17 killed Gero after re-activation. 17 and 18 reactivated Android 16, defeated the Z Fighters and searched for Goku but this was put on hold when they were forced to run for their lives from Cell. Android 17 was absorbed by Cell but was released after Cells defeat. 17 was somewhat influenced by Android 16s morals and ideals. He was also surprised at Piccolo and Trunks attempts to save him. This diminished his evil leanings. 17, ashamed of his inability to destroy either Cell or Goku, lived in the mountains and adopted a realitivly peaceful lifestyle. 17 was one of the people who gave up energy to Goku when he was forming the Chou Genki-Dama to defeat Kid Buu. DragonBall GT Android 17 was attacked and abosrbed by his twin, Artificial 17 who was created by Dr Gero and Dr Myuu in order to absorb 17 and destroy Goku. Super 17 was created and Android 17s personality was engulfed by the evil Artificial 17s programming. Android 17 was killed when Super 17 was destroyed by Goku. 17 was revived when the wish to repair all the damage done to Earth and it's inhabitants was made. 17 returned to his mountain home where he lived out his life. |
