| Our site goes back a long way. We first came up with an idea for the site, on May 14th, 2001. We developed a lot of content and made a pretty bad layout with paint. Thus, we were still learning HTML, which made things worse. We submitted our site to one top site list, and started to get 6 hits a day. Now don't laugh, we just started. Do to the fact our URL was too long, we moved. We still had a bad layout, but better then the last one. More hits came in, about 20 a day. We then made yet another layout, which had very little impact. Then, lol, we made another layout, which made the site still unsuccessful. Fed up, we closed the site, as some of you fans may know, just for a little bit of time though. We then bought Paint Shop Pro 7, and made a fairly good layout. This layout was made on September 8th, 2001. This was the rebirth of our site, and when the site truly started. The layout brought 100+ hits a day, gaining more each week. We kept on adding more and more content. We still do at the moment. We had an outstanding total of 2,447 hits one day. I found that surprising, considering we really just started. We changed the layout again, because it was too big for browsers, and people were complaining. That revolutionized our site. I don't mean to sound all historic here, but the hits started rising to 400+ a day, then to 600+, and now 800-1,000+. I don't give credit to the layout for bringing hits, I give credit to the content, and all the search engines, links pages, top sites, and anything else I may be on. Our layout is nice, it certainly isn't bad. Most people like it, few don't like it. However, fans don't really look in a layout in my opinion, they looka t the work ethic, and content. If you are devoted, much like I am, then it should have some impact on your hits. You can't just become popular right when you open, unless you are already number one on search engines, or like the SOTM on a very popular site. It takes time. It takes at least a year to become really famous. Look at Planet Namek and Pojo. They get a lot of hits, but look at how much work and effort they put into their site. Now, no offense here, I don't want anyone to get mad but Planet Namek's and Pojo's layout isn't all that wonderful. Infact a lot of site's layouts aren't that wonderful, but they still get a whole bunch of hits. Now I know I should be talking about the history, but I'm trying to encourage future webmasters. Everyone starts out slow, but things pick up. Anyways, are site still is around, after not that much time. I realize it is impossible for hits to stay consistant, having this website is an impact on my mind. It is depressing when hits fall. However, I know there will hardly ever be a day when they are the same. I will keep adding new sections, keep making the site bigger, for the wonderful DBZ fans out there. My goal is to please DBZ fans, maybe help them from boredom, or give them some knowledge of DBZ, or perhaps just let them download a ROM, and play a game. Either way my ultimate goal is for fans to know who I am, and like me and my site. Thank you for reading these rather lengthy paragraphs, you can view my statistics below.
