Chapter 1: The Challenge

Disclaimer: I do not own Dragon Ball Z But I do own this first it seems boring plot that will be changing soon.

Author's notes: This story takes place the minute Trunks gets home from and he is about to take on the androids.

When Trunks returned to his time-line he met Android #17 & 18. Android 18 said, "we have been looking for you. We thought you got scared and ran away." Trunks yells " yeah, well you thought wrong. I am back to stay and beat you once and for all" Both androids say in unison " In your dreams!!!" Yes you are right those were my dreams. It is now time to make them a reality!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and with that Trunks powers up to Super Sayain 1. The Android 17 says " oh no not this trick again we have been though this a million times. Don't you know when to give? No I don't because I am not scared of you any more and why should you are just a bunch of Scrap metal any way." As Trunks spoke he attacked 18 head on.After a heated duel of Ki blasts being exchanged, Fists being thrown, words of cruelty being said to one another 18 was knocked with a surprise attack. Taking advantage of this moment Trunks used his sword to slice 18. After finally beating 18 Trunks turns his attention to 17.17 is truly shocked to see his sister die at the hands of Trunks. 17 says" I see your fighting skills have improved tremendously I must know how you did it." Trunks says" That is for me to know how and you to Figure out!!!!!!!" 17 gets enraged and starts attacking with everything he has. Trunks just stood there he seemed untouched. Trunks then uses a technique called Masenkame (which is a combination between Kamehamaha and Masenko) and kills 17 with ease. After 17 explodes Trunks is overwhelmed with happiness that he jumps up and down yelling they are gone they're' really gone.As Trunks leaves to go home and tell Bulma the good news he hears a familiar voice. The voice belongs to Cell. "Why did you kill my Children?" Trunks is very Confused and asked "What are you talking about? What do you mean your children I haven't seen any cell JR’s around here." Cell responds saying " fool those androids you just killed. Those are my Children. Now do you understand?" Trunks even more confused said "but Dr. Gero created them and was killed by them as well. " The 'Cell' says "Don't you understand that I am also Dr. Gero I fused with the organic side of him when he became android 20. I wish to fight you to see who is stronger." Trunks says, " Fine we will fight." Cell starts laughing out loud saying I am not going to fight you now. But in two Years I will fight you at North Island at 10:00 September 11th. Do you agree?" "Yes Cell I do agree," said Trunks. After agreeing on a time and place Trunks and Cell go their different ways. Trunks returns home to tell Bulma the good and bad news. "Trunks how did you get stronger anyway?" asked Bulma. I trained in a room called THE ROOM OF TIME AND SPACE. In this room time passes quicker. I could get a year's worth of training in 1 day in that room. Bulma then asked, "where is it located?" Trunks said, "It is located on Kame's lookout tower. "Trunks says " I have a job for you. I want you to try converting the time machine into a space machine." Bulma asked, " why do you need one." Trunks said, "I have a plan. If I could get a space ship to go to Namek we might be able to get a Namek called Dende. If we can convince him to come to Earth he can make us a set of Dragon Balls. We can use that set of Dragon Balls to wish everyone from the alternative time-line here to help fight Cell. So that way they can help me fight Cell. Bulma said, "you know it is just crazy enough to work. Now then I suggest while I am working on converting the time Machine into a space ship I think you should train somewhere." Trunks thinks for a minute, "Well what about one of those Gravity Machines that Dad used to use? Are those still around?" Bulma says, "Now why didn’t I think of that? Of course it’s still here, But with a lot of Modifications on it. Such as the gravity capacity is now five millions times Earth’s normal gravity. You can train for as long as you need. So when do you want to start?" Trunks responds, "Tomorrow. Right now I need some rest." So Trunks went up to his room and went to bed. The next day marked his first day of his Training for the Cell Games. For the next month or so Trunks trained hard. Then one morning Trunks woke up hearing Bulma yelling "It is done the space ship is finally done!!!!" Trunks fell out of bed completely surprised. He said, " The Space Ship is done? All right yes! Now we can go to Namek and get somebody to come back with us to make new Dragon Balls for us. So the alternative time-line Z warriors can come here and help me fight Cell." Bulma then suddenly asked " what your other two wishes going to be? You do know that the Namekian Dragon grants 3 wishes don't you?" Trunks surprised said ' what about wishing our friends from this time line here to help out with the fighting?" Bulma said, "that is what I was thinking my self. Yeah let's hope we could. Well I guess you better get moving and go to Namek." Later that day Trunks left and was on his way to Namek. The estimated time to reach Namek was 3 days.

Chapter 2: The LegendDisclaimer: I do not own Dragon Ball Z But I do own this first it seems boring plot that will be changing soon. 3 days later Trunks lands on Namek As he comes out of his ship he says "wow so this is Namek I didn't know how beautiful it was." While Trunks was looking around a bunch of Nameks came by and asked, " who are you? Are you friend or foe? Trunks turns around quickly and responds saying " I am Trunks from Planet Earth and I am Friend and I have come to see the eldest Namek about your Dragon Balls." The Nameks then say, "what is your purpose of using them?" Trunks then says, "I need them to wish some very dear friends from an alternative time-line. If I can use the Dragon Balls to make this wish I can then kill a powerful enemy back home called Cell." The Nameks nodded and said "Yes you may. Right this way."As they journeyed to the eldest Nameks house Trunks saw many exotic animals he has never seen before. After many tiresome hours of walking they reached a building that looked like a giant beetle. Trunks asked "What the hell is that???" The Nameks said, "This is the eldest Nameks house." Trunks surprised said" His house looks like a Giant beetle." The Nameks started laughing and said "Well we better get inside and meet him. Trunks agreed. One of the Nameks went up to the house and pushed a part of the house. All of a sudden control panel appeared in the place of the spot. The Namek then typed in a code. A door opened up on the left of the Namek.They walked in and saw an Old Namek called Guru. Guru walked up to them and said, "Is this the Warrior that seeks me?" One Namek says, "yes it is Master. I believe his Name is Trunks from Earth." The Namek then motioned Trunks to go forward. Trunks Says, "I have come to ask of a favor. I need the Dragon Balls to wish some friends from another time-line here. If this wish is granted we shall go forth and defeat an enemy Warrior who wants to take over the world." Guru asked, " who are these friends anyway?" Trunks said, " Surely you must know of Goku the Legendary Super Sayain? I believe he stopped an evil warrior called Frieza. I need his son Gohan." At these familiar words Goku and Gohan Super Sayain the Namek says, " what is wrong with The Z warriors of our Time-line?" Trunks looked down at his shoes and said, "Our friends died 20 years ago at the hands of androids that I recently killed in a battle." Guru said "But why them? Why not the ones that lived here?" Trunks said, " Because I traveled back in time to warn Goku of these androids before he dies of deadly heart disease and give him the medication and make a difference. You see Goku dies 6 months before the androids arrival here but over there he lives long enough to fight the androids. Later the same warrior from here appears there and Goku's son Gohan kills this warrior. But the Z warriors of this time-line would be no chance against Cell. They would all die in seconds. But the Alternative Timeline Z warriors survive and kill Cell. So I guess I have faith that they can do the job." Guru smiles and says "Ah now everything makes sense. Yes you may summon these warriors here but it will take more power so we will need The Dark star Dragon Balls, The Earth Dragon Balls, and the Namekian Dragon Balls to have enough power to do this." Trunks said, "We do not have the Earth Dragon Balls any more they disappeared when Piccolo died." Guru didn't say anything he just walked over to one of the Nameks that accompanied Trunks to Guru and said, "Go get Dende." Guru then looked at Trunks and said "You told me Dende made a new set of Earth Dragon Balls for you correct? We can just retrieve The Blue Prints for the old set of The Earth Dragon Balls."Trunks asked Guru "I was just wondering what is the Black Star Dragon Balls?" Guru answered "The Black Star Dragon Balls are a set of Dragon Balls with black stars on them. These Dragon Balls are the strongest set ever created. As I was listening to you I thought we would just get the Black Star Dragon Balls and wish your friends here. But when you said they live in an Alternative Time-Line I knew we would need to rely on an old legend that has been told for many years now. Do you wish to hear it?" Trunks nods. Guru begins " Once there was a Namek he created The Namekian Dragon Balls but he put a special feature on this set. This feature was to fuse any set of Dragon Balls together. But something went wrong. After he created them he tried fusing them but it never worked. Only once have they fused all 3 sets together and when that happened there was a Phoenix present. This Phoenix family has information on how to fuse them correctly. You will find this Phoenix on the planet Phoenixion. Once you get there you must make friends with one. You must travel alone on this journey. I can only give you one piece of advice: try making friends with the Royal Family so they will have your trust. Also while you are flying in space search for the Black Star Dragon Balls. Trunks still trying to take all that in says " What about the Earth Dragon Balls?" Guru says "ah but do not worry Dende and two other Nameks are already on their way to Earth to create the new set of Dragon Balls. All you need to do is worry about finding the Phoenix and Black Star Dragon Balls. "Well if you say so Guru." Says Trunks " I shall go to Phoenixion and find a Phoenix and The Black Star Dragon Balls. I shall leave tomorrow." Guru smiled and said "Excellent."

Chapter 3: The Space CenterDisclaimer: I do not own Dragon Ball Z But I do own this first it seems boring plot that will be changing soon.The next day Trunks prepared for his voyage into the universe. Before he left for outer space Dende and the two other Nameks arrived with the Earth Dragon Balls. Guru pulls Trunks aside and tells him "Listen it is all up to you now. I just got word from Dende that Cell is also looking for the dragon balls to wish back all evil that has ever struck both the alternative and our timelines. He plans on using the Dark Star Dragon Balls to accomplish this goal. He having Namekian blood cells has the ability to create Dragon Balls so he shall be attempting to make a set of dragon balls that has more power then that of the Black Star Dragon Balls. We will do all that we can to assist you in your search. Our scientists have created a Space Machine that can travel quicker then your space ship and also travel in time. But not like yours. This one will send you back in time but into someone else's body. Now you will be able to choose who you wish to use if you travel back in time. Any questions on your mission?" Trunks still trying to take this all in answers "No. I understand everything. My objectives are collect the Black Star Dragon Balls, Find a Phoenix to fuse all the dragon balls together, and travel back to the alternative time-line and tell everyone to prepare to be brought here. That is why you equipped the Time-Machine right?" Guru nodded in satisfaction.Trunks asked, "How long do you guys estimate I'll be gone?" Guru thought for a minute and replied anywhere from 5 months to two years. The only way you'd be gone two years is if the Space Ship loses it coordinates or you get lost. But don't worry the chances of anything like that happening are real slim." Trunks looking kind of nervous said "ok well if you say so." Guru smiled and said, "don't worry it won't happen. It is almost time to head up to the Space Center in space." Guru said," We would have brought the Space Ship down to Namek but we the space team would prefer you going up there to pick up the space ship. They need to give you instructions on how to operate the ship and they can't leave the base because the base has been malfunctioning lately. So you shall take your space ship up to the base. From there they shall build your space ship into an escape hatch for security reasons." Trunks says, "seems like a well developed plan. Well I better get up to the space station. Goodbye Guru and thanks for everything." With that Trunks flew off to Namek's Ground Base.Upon arrival of the Ground Base Trunks marveled at how huge the base is. While looking for someone to help him find his way to his to the correct docking station. As he was walking around Terminal 5 he was lost in thoughts just a few days ago he was battling along side the Z warriors to kill Cell. Images came to his mind.< Flash back>Gohan getting enraged when Cell killed Android 16 body leaving 16 crippled and 16 telling Gohan to continue fighting Cell and Gohan as a huge power inside but Gohan just doesn’t know it. Then 16’s head is smashed. Gohan reflects on everything that has happened in the last few weeks and then exploding into Super Sayain two. Cell’s face scared as hell. Then Gohan and Cell go at it again and battle to the end. But Gohan being ignorant doesn’t finish off Cell and Cell powers up too much for Gohan to handle. But Goku had to step in when Cell is about to explode and use instant transmission and transport Cell to King Kai’s planet. But still Cell made it back to earth alive. Then Gohan and Cell lock in a huge Kame Ha Me Ha attack. Then Piccolo, Krillen, Yamcha, Tien, Vegita, and myself step in and shoot Cell from the behind as Goku tries to talk Gohan into using any and all extra energy Gohan was holding back because we could wish back the Earth and all it’s people and Gohan did it. He killed Cell.<Ends Flash back>Man I hope the same thing happens this time. But wait… Goku is still dead I completely forgot about him. Then he remembers that day that they got the dragon Balls together to wish back Goku.<Flash Back>Yes! We got the Dragon Balls back together. Said Gohan Dende says something in Namekian. Then suddenly there it was the Eternal Dragon. It was amazing to see such a huge Dragon. While in the process of wishing Goku back, Goku telepathically called us using King Kai saying he didn’t wish to be brought back. So instead we wished for my time machine to be repaired because when I came back the second time the ship crashed and was beyond repair and Krillen wished for 18 to become human. But it didn’t work so instead Gohan said what about all the people who died at the hands of Cell to come back to life and that wish was granted.<Ends flash back>Well let’s hope these Omega Dragon Balls can also bring back Goku. Just as he said those words a Namekian ran up to him and asked "You there! Are you Trunks?" Trunks startled looks up and says, "yes my name is Trunks" The Namek looked relieved, "whew finally I’ve been looking for you all over this base. Well follow me and I’ll take you to docking station 12. Ok?" Trunks said, "ok I’ve been stuck here at station 5 for hours now." So they start walking to docking station 12 and the Namek says, "I don’t know if Guru told you or not but you will be working with a Sayain by the name of Sakunaria she is going to be the pilot of your spaceship. That and Guru says Sakunaria is an excellent fighter, One of the strongest in the Universe. You will meet Sakunaria once we get to Namek’s Space Station." Wow I wonder if she help me train, Trunks thought to himself. "Is there a training room or Gravitation room on this space ship?" He asked. The Namek chuckled to himself. "Of course there is. Well here is station 12. Now take this door on the left and then walk down the hall on the left and you will be in space shuttle 10 heading up to the Space Station. From there you will meet Sakunaria. Now I don’t know what’ll happen after that. So be prepared for anything. Got it?" Trunks nodded, "yes I understand. Well I guess I better get moving. Thank you for your help around here." He waved at the Namek and was off. He followed the Namek’s instructions exactly. Soon he was in the space ship off to the space station. Just as he landed on the space station he heard a lot of noise. He quickly found a Namek in a Black suit and asked what was going on. It seem they were under attack by Ryokens.

Chapter 4: The RyokensDisclaimer I don’t own DBZ That is Akira’s and The Ragnarok is Final Fantasy 8’s space ship.A/N sorry I took so long but well I’ve been busy with a bunch of other stuff.Trunks asks the Namek in the black suit, "What the heck are Ryokens?" The Namek replies The Ryokens are an army of bloodthirsty creatures. That looks like an ordinary earthling female except they have silver hair with strands of black hair in it. They can be both gentle but at the same time mean as hell. They have some type of attack that we don’t know the name to right now. They come every 1000 years and try to take over Namek and they always beat us in battle. After defeating us in battle they stay on Namek for 2000 years and leave and return in a millennium. It is said that one of our leaders went to a planet far away that we can never find no matter what called Yadrat. At that Trunks knew exactly what that planet was It was the planet Goku stayed on after his adventures on Old Namek. "I know that place. Goku was there back in the alternate timeline and I don’t recall him mentioning a race called Ryokens. Maybe the Ryokens came into power like the Sayain did with that race back on Planet Vegita. Man I can’t remember that races name.""Ah yes I know of the history of The Sayain." The Namek then looked grim. "Alas I just hope our fate isn’t the same as that of that race that the Sayain killed off. At least this time we have Sakunaria to lead us to battle and possibly a victory and I hope we will win. I cannot bear to see my people killed off by The Ryokens. But control tower says that The Ryokens have more power and more fighters." Just then there was a huge blast nearby and over the intercoms came this message: "All pilots of fighter space ships please report to your space ship and prepare for battle against the Ryokens. Also would the warrior known as Trunks report to my Space Ship in docking station 7 immediately" Trunks asks the Namek, "how do I get to station 7? The Namek replied, " Let’s see walk down the hall. Until you see a statue of a Dragon press the nose down and a keyboard will appear and you type in 786 5321 then press enter and the dragon will spilt in half revealing our strongest space ships. Sakunaria’s ship is The Ragnarok looks like a Red Dragon with many weapons and is the biggest ship in the bay." After saying a quick goodbye to the Namek in the Black suit ran to the Statue and hit the nose and out came a keyboard and typed in the password 786 5321. When the doors opened Trunks was dazzled by all the big battle space ships there. He walked around looking for The Ragnarok. He passed many powerful looking ships and finally found it near a modified version of the ship Bulma, Krillen, and Gohan took to Namek. The Ragnarok gleamed radiantly in the beams of the sun shining though a glass window. Trunks walked inside and an elevator and decided to walk and went to the top floor and saw a Black door in front of him. He walked in and saw a control room with six different stations. Trunks thought this was odd because there was just him and Sakunaria unless there is a team of trained pilots to pilot this craft. As he walked up to the main station he heard a voice saying, " So you must be Trunks." Trunks spun around and saw a beautiful Sayain woman standing in the doorway. She had black silky hair, Blue eyes, a Sayain armor similar to the one Vegita wore back at The Cell Games except a customized one(this armor had a logo of a dragon), . He responded, Yes I am Trunks. I assume you are Sakunaria?" She smiled, "Yes I am Sakunaria. I see you found the main control room?" Trunks nodded, "yes" Her face statement changed to a serious look. She said, "Look we have a battle going on outside and we’re losing badly. So I need to get the Ragnarok out there and into battle Right away. The Ragnarok Elite Team is already out there fighting the Ryokens. But they need me out there right now. It is urgent that I get out there. I just need your help to co pilot this ship. I’ll call out instructions to you. Ok?" Trunks nodded, "anything to win this battle and start my quest to find the Omega Dragon Balls." With that they ran into action and flew the Ragnarok to the battlefield out in Space.
When they got to the battlefield they saw that the Nameks were out numbered and were in need of help. Sakunaria ran to a control panel and started powering up and shot a Ki blast straight on the control panel creating a huge energy blast shot out of the dragon’s mouth. The attack hit a portion of the Ryokens. Trunks was shocked at how she attacked the Ryokens. He asked her, " How did you do that?" Sakunaria replied, "that is one of the features of The Ragnarok. Because I can’t breathe in space I made that control panel to absorb energy and shoot it out the Dragon’s mouth. Do you want to try it?" Trunks nodded. He walked up to the control panel and powered up to Super Sayain 2 and yelled, "Super Phoenix Attack!" Out of his body came a Phoenix with a yellow aura and out of the Dragon’s mouth came a beam that resembled Phoenixes flying at high speed splitting and hitting all of the Ryokens and their ships. Taking out most of the Ryokens. The remaining Ryokens powered up to their fullest. While Sakunaria looking scared and started trembling. She managed to say You…you’re a Super Sayain!" Trunks nodded. Saying, "Yes I am. I thought you were too." Sakunaria responded, "no. Not yet at least. I don’t know the secret. But look if you’re Super Sayain and but for some reason I’m still stronger." Just then a whole bunch of Ryokens came straight at the Ragnarok and attacked it. Trunks started powering up for another attack. But Sakunaria powered up farther then Trunks ever dreamed imaginable and shouted, "Solar Beam attack!" Out of her hand came a big bright light of energy and what ever remained of the Ryokens were gone. Sakunaria looked relieved. We did it Trunks we beat back every single Ryoken in the battle. Sakunaria turned her attention to the Namekian space ships. She then turned to Trunks and asked if he saw any space ship that looked similar to the Ragnarok except smaller. Trunks scanned the battlefield spotted one in the very middle. He replied, " I see it over there in the middle." Sakunaria looked relieved and said, " I’m gonna fly the ship out there and have the Ragnarok Elite team come aboard so we can go to Namek and give a report to Guru. Trunks nodded and said, "ok let’s go there and pick up your team.

Chapter 5: Cell's True Purpose and preparations begin

"ok Trunks set course for that ship over there." Trunks responded, "course set. all systems are ready." The Ragnarok was then speeding towards the smaller version of itself. As they reached the ship they received a message from Guru informing them that the Ragnarok elite team was dispatched to earth to protect it from Cell, who has been destroying everything in sight, and other creatures are with him. Trunks tells Guru he is going back to earth to protect it.

It took them one hour to reach Earth. When they entered the atmosphere Trunks got Bulma to expect them and prepare a landing strip on Capsule Corporation so they could land The Ragnarok. Once they landed and docked in a special space station under Capsule corp. Once inside Trunks introduces Sakunaria to Bulma. "I didn't know there were more Sayain survivors out there. I thought it was just Goku, Vegita, Nappa, and Raditz. Well not anymore they are all dead. Just how did you survive?" Sakunaria replied, "I'm sorry I can't tell you right now. Trunks and me have to go down to the battlefield and help the rest of the team out. I promise next time we meet I'll tell you." Bulma nods and says, "well what are you guys waiting for? You have a battle to win! Now get out of here!" Trunks and Sakunaria fly off to battlefield. When they get there Trunks' greatest fear came true. There on the battlefield was Frezia, The Ginyu Force, Raditz, Nappa, King Kold, Cell, and a Pink creature he'd never seen before and There were 5 sayains whom he guessed were the Ragnarok elite team. "Sakunaria is that your team?" Sakunaria nodded. Trunks then said to Cell, "Cell what is the meaning of this you said that I'd be fighting you and only you. Why are these others here and how are they here"

Cell looked at Trunks and replied, " I wondered when you would get here Trunks. I brought these former enemies of you father and Goku here today so you could see my true purpose. My purpose wasn't to absorb 18 and 17 but to also absorb these other warriors. You see Trunks I thought I'd show you what you will be up against in three years from now. Majin Buu come forward. The Pink creature walk up to Cell dancing and singing stuff like, "buu.buu..me eat you up.me turn you into cookie.buu" When he reached Cell he put a huge M on his chest. Cell then sucked up Majin Buu and his body became more muscular and his power level increased tremendously. He then turned to Frezia and his men and sucked them up in one big swoop. Trunks could barely believe what just happened. All his greatest enemies became one. Trunks became enraged and turned Super Sayain 2. He prepared to attack when Cell shot a blast at The Ragnarok Elite Team and killed all 5 warriors. Trunks had had enough of this and his power level increased with anger. His hair started growing and his face became thinner. While next to him Sakunaria was getting a golden aura around her and she went Super Sayain 2. When she turned Super Sayain she learned a new attack. She yelled, "Ice Burner attack!" A huge white beam hit cell then Fire spun around it. The attack left nothing on Cell's body, Not even a scratch. Trunks then did his Super Phoenix attack and Sakunaria attacked with an attack called Mega Dragon Beam. Both attacks left nothing on Cell's body.

Then as Sakunaria was about to power up again her watch started blinking indicating she was receiving a transmission from Guru. She told Trunks distract Cell for a moment. Trunks started attacking Cell head on. Trunks Punched Cell in the gut and Cell hit Trunks with a Ki blast. Meanwhile Sakunaria learned from Guru that Cell fused his body with someone just as strong. His new name was Majin Cell. After Guru learned that Cell sucked up Frezia, King Kold, The Ginyu Force, Nappa, Raditz, and Majin Buu and had killed The Ragnarok Elite Force Guru ordered Trunks and Sakunaria to retreat and begin Mission Omega Dragon Balls. Sakunaria then told Trunks all this and as they were about to leave Majin Cell stopped them and told Trunks, "I expect you back here in 3 years for our tournament. For now you may go back to Namek. But be warned that if you don't show up on September 11th but let us choose a more fitting place of battle. Maybe we should fight on Namek. What do you say Trunks?" Trunks nodded, "Majin Cell I shall fight you any where in the universe. But also know I shall beat you."

As they flew back to Capsule Corp. Sakunaria was holding back tears. Trunks asked her what was wrong and she replied, "I've lost whatever family I had left. I am now alone in the universe." She suddenly stopped flying and said to Trunks, " Trunks please let me fight in the tournament. I know you are going to bring back your friends from and alternate timeline but please I can be very useful. I just want revenge. You would to if you lost you family and friends." Trunks looked at her with full understanding and said, "of course. I understand what you feel. I lost my father and my friends. But I met them again in the alternate time-line. I never felt so good. Those were the best and hardest times I faced up until now. Those are still my happiest memories but the hardest challenge is not the past but the Future. I believe it is my destiny to fight Majin Cell. But not alone." Just then they reached capsule corp. They went in and told Bulma all that happened. They then told Bulma that they'd have to go back to Namek so they could start Mission Omega Dragon Balls. Bulma said that she wants to go to Namek and help with their work to keep Namek safe against Majin Cell. So Trunks, Sakunaria, and Bulma were to travel back to Namek.
