Spring Frenzy Participants

"Hey Ki'yeal!" M'lor called out frantically as he ran towards the blue rider. His breath came in quick gasps, barely supplying his need for oxygen in his haste to reach the Search Rider. A white sheet of paper waved wildly in his hand, the wind snapping and fluttering the corners. When M'lor finally reached Aaron's younger brother, he was forced to skid to a halt and wait a few moments to catch his breath.

Ki'yeal turned when his name was called, first watching M'lor with a slightly worried glance. When he saw the wide grin spread across the twin's face, he banished all ideas of some horrible attack and tired to think of something else that would excite the rider so. His redish-black brow raised slightly as he waited for M'lor to tell him the news. The flush of the rider's face and the wide grin that had been plastered there told him that the news, whatever it was, was definately good.

"You won't believe this." M'lor panted. His hands rested on his knees while his chest heaved with every breath. Still, he managed to get his information out without passing out first. "There's another frenzy happening!"

"You ran all this way to tell me about a frenzy?" Ki'yeal questioned dryly.

M'lor shook his head and drew in one more deep breath before looking up. "It's a special frenzy. They're requesting blues, purples, silvers and whites. I thought, since Yath's gotten it into his head to start flying more frequently, you'd want to go."

Ki'yeal's brows rose to the top of his head. How did M'lor know of Yath's plans to fly more often? He hadn't told anyone. He smirked lightly and shook his head. It seemed that no secret in the Warren was safe. When M'lor looked up at him with hopeful eyes, he had to laugh. "Alright. Who else is going?" Ki'yeal patted M'lor's shoulder and turned him towards the flight fields. If this was going to be a frenzy, the Warren had to put in a grand appearence.

"Who... else?" M'lor looked blankly at the older Search Rider. While his twin brother took too much time to think and plan things through, he didn't take nearly enough. Ki'yeal laughed and called Yath out from his nap in their den.

"Let's organize some flyers." Ki'yeal grinned micheviously, a look that almost all Audils could master; and no one else could resist.

* * *

Now let's see. Ki'yeal mused to himself as he looked over a check list of names. M'lor had given short notice for the flight but still left enough time for Ki'yeal to arrange a quick Wing of eager riders. Yath looked over his shoulder tentitavely.

Are you sure we should be doing this? The large blue's voice was tinged with nervousness. He'd only been in one flight previously and had almost won that one. Ki'yeal soothed his bond's mind as best he could, double checking the names on the list again.

It'll be alright buddy. You can fly better then any dragon here. His reassuring words calmed the knot in Yath's stomach enough for Ki'yeal to concentrate on the names. He began a roll call. "Just say 'here' when I call your name. M'lor and Dracoth."

"Here!" Here. Both rider and dragon called out simontaniously. The thought that dragons only bespoke their bonds was unheard of on Tris'Hath. Everyone talked to everyone, whether they liked it or not.

"T'lor and Merlinth." Ki'yeal continued.

"Here." Here! The other set of twins called out from the crowd.

"K'lter and Penorith, T'bi and Horeteth." Ki'yeal looked up to see the last two male dragon and rider pair answer his call. Small white Horeteth stood beside small, pale blue Penorith, both first time fliers and eager to go.

"Now the girls. Ren and Camkanak."

We're here. The stormy Camkanak answered for her bond, her eyes whirling a teasing violet.

"Lannia and Mirth."

Of course, of course. Now where did I put my supplies? Mirth muttered to herself as she searched the ground for her dragon pack of medical herbs. Penorith helpfully nudged the discarded belt over to her side where she happily picked it up and retied it around her waist. She sometimes acted more human then dragon.

"Finally, Milina and Thanketh." Ki'yeal finished the calls and caught a glimpse of Thanketh throwing her head haughtily.

Can we go now? The selection here is pitiful. The Adanuk born violet dragoness glared around the assembly as if judging everyone.

I doubt you'll find anyone worthwhile there either. Good males have become scarse. Camkanak purred in her deep-throated voice. Ki'yeal chuckled and rolled the list up with a snap of his wrist.

"Alright people, this is it. Our destination is Lao Daemia and the Spring Frenzy."

Let's go! Yath bellowed in an uncharacteristic show of leadership. He spread his massive wings and crouched down to let Ki'yeal mount. When all the riders were ready to go, the bronze sized blue lead the others through between to the newest frenzy.
