Mother's Day

Did you know the lady that started Mother's Day doesn't like that it is a national holiday and has tried to end it? You'd think she'd get over that it's comerical and not care becuase it's still a day to honor your mother. The material side of it is not what makes the holiday speical.

Our small imediate family gathered today. My older sister Alicia stopped by along with her husband Jacob and their toddlers Matthew and Lindsay. We all sat around to visit and that's really what makes the day special to my mother. Gifts are a plus, but never needed or expected. She just wants us all there. She did get gifts though, those type of people that don't expect gifts are always a greater pleasure to give to.
