Aurora rolled her eyes as a fat barbarian, smelling of booze plopped himselfdown in the chair across from her. She silently cursed her father for wantingto meet the girls in a tavern again as the drunk barbarian tried comingon to her and she suddenly wished she too had come in fully cloaked likeher twin sister sitting next to her. Aurora wasn't vain, but she knew thather elven grace and long white hair made her a beautiful sight to mosthumans. "Hey Fatso, leave my sister alone before things turn ugly. Arachnestated from the shadows in a bored voice that told her sister she couldn'twait for a fight to brake out. The barbarian snorted and reached acrossthe table for Aurora, but a dark hand suddenly shot out from under therobe and stopped him. Arachne leaned across at the barbarian letting herhood drop from her face to show her dark elven features. "I said..... leaveher alone." She insisted once more, but the cries of dark elf and piratequeen had already started when another in the tavern had seen her the famousand most wanted sea captain. Aurora smiled to her sister, she just loveda good bar brawl, then as one the twins jumped up, weapons ready.
Night had started to fall and lights where being lighted in the houses.Mothers where calling their children in for the night and casting uneasyglances at the human warrior walking through the streets. Years ago thatbothered Rayven. They had no reason to fear him, but they didn't know thatand he knew that all the black he wore didn't help with his image any.Now he just smiled as the mothers rushed their children in away from thestranger. As he neared the Screaming Banshee Inn and Tavern and heard soundsof fighting his smile faded. A large barbarian crashed through the windownearly hitting him. The man was drunk and mumbling something about twoelves. Rayven stepped over the barbarian and casually walked into the tavern. He sat down at the bar and started to drink some ones forgotten ale ashe nodded to the bartender, an old friend of his and turned to watch thegirls in action.
The fight was in full swing and even though the twins had their weapons drawn Rayven was glade to see that they weren't doing any serious hurting.Arachne was using the flat side of her cutlass and Aurora was using herstaff. A warrior leaped off the balcony leading to the rooms at Arachnewho didn't seem to notice, but right at the last minute stepped aside lettingthe man fall to the floor. Two barbarians rushed in on Aurora, one fromthe front and one from behind. She ducked as the one in front of her startedto swing a club causing him to hit his friend behind her and knocking himout. She came up with her staff hitting the man in the crouchthen turned hitting him in the head as well. He fell to the floor and shelooked around in disappointment as she watched Arachne hit the last onestanding in the face with the hilt of her cutlass. Fights just didn't seemto last as long as they used to. Rayven finished his drink and startedto applaud. "Do you have to tear up every bar you go to? Let alone mine?"
"They started it." Arachne said in their defense.
"You could've helped you know." Aurora stated.
"Nope, I'm a Dragonslayer, and I didn't see any dragons." Rayven repliedwith a playful shrug.
