Follow Me

Emilio stopped and looked slightly over his left shoulder to better hear the sounds behind him. Someone well trained in stealth was attempting to follow the master thief down the tunnels to his legendary hideout. Almost everyone on the planet of Urune knew Emilio was a thief and there were many rumors that said his followers lived in the tunnels under the capital city of Ur. Up to this point, none of the rumors were ever proven and Emilio would be damned if someone got the drop on him this far into the game.

He ducked into a tunnel to the left and took two sharp rights before stopping around the next corner. To his surprise the other person was able to follow him still and he started to wonder if someone had managed to plant a tracker on him. That would have been very hard since he uses a magic spell to detect all kinds of trackers before entering the tunnels. It was even more unlikely that someone could track him with magic because only very powerful dragon magic could be used in the special section of the tunnels. This section he was in now was one of the anti-magic sections where no magic of any kind worked at all.

He could hear the other person slowing in their walk to try and hear his steps, which he was no longer taking. Emilio had already decided that the person was a woman. Not only because of her scent his keen kitsune senses picked up, but also because of how lightly she walked. He held his breath as a graceful figure with long red hair and pointed ears passed him, looking around a bit nervously. He guess that she probably thought she lost him and therefore was lost herself. These old tunnels were deliberately built to be a confusing network of mazes. He sighed in exasperation and stepped out behind her after she had passed him. She had not heard him and a sudden wave of mischief passed over him as he looked at her back. He smiled slyly Trixie!

The fey girl jumped so high at the sudden screaming of her name that Emilio couldnt help but burst out in laughter. He had no doubt that had magic been able to be used here, she would also have incinerated everything around her in a burst of flames. She is Trixie Fyre, his most trusted friend and bodyguard, and she is a fire pixie. She glared at Emilio, but that only made him laugh even harder, so much so he was beginning to have trouble breathing.

Always happy to provide a good laugh. Trixie responded in somewhat of an annoyed tone, though her blue eyes danced, which told Emilio she wasnt all that upset about it. Though fire pixies are the easier to anger and tend to throw mad fits of rage, its never in any pixies nature to hold a grudge for longer than the instant in which they first got mad.

It was a few seconds still before Emilio composed himself enough to stop laughing. He was smiling at Trixie, but his thoughts were drawn elsewhere to sounds he was hearing. The tunnels were full of sounds, water dripping, rats, other myriad of sounds from creatures and water. He straightened himself again and reached out for Trixies arm to lead her away, You were followed. He hissed.

So where you. Trixie protested quietly, but didnt push the issue past that. Emilio lead her down the tunnel they were to and then to the left where he pushed her down a hole. He dropped beside her. Trixie opened her mouth as if to speak, her face an expression of question. Emilio raised a finger to her lips to cut her off however, indicating they should be as silent as possible. Emilio had many enemies and not all as simple as the law out to bust a master thief. Some of his enemies were far more powerful and deadly than that. He just hopped they hadnt managed to place a tracker on Trixie, otherwise they can lay low and come out later. With any luck, his enemies would get lost in the tunnels.
