Death of a Queen

    All the other Slayers show up on the scene at the same time, all but Deekin who seems to be missing, though no one would notice right away since he's not even supposed to be there.  The Slayers had felt Ryia die in their armors and were caught off guard when all they see when they get there is their king eating the heart of his dead wife.  Moonshade who is standing behind Rayven puts a hand up to her mouth and looks at him with very sad eyes seeing that her spell has been lifted. Matt steps out of a portal from the netherworld and stands next to Moonshade, behind Rayven just to his right and just stares in shock thinking that their worst nightmare has just become reality.  Arachne and Aurora teleport in together with Trisha as they were all on Arachne's ship when they felt the armor react.  The twins are standing next to each other and take one another's hand feeling safer and thinking better when they are together, but the psionics of the armor let all there know that neither of them have any intentions of going against their instincts and fighting their father no matter what happens now. Trisha who is standing just behind the twins peeks out from around Arachne's right, holding on to her older sister's waist to balance herself. The thought Moonshade picks up from Trisha startles her more then seeing Rayven evil again. Trisha's bloodlust sets in seeing the blood of a women she hated for taking her mother's place in Rayven's heart. She stares at Rayven in awe and admiration as some of Ryia's blood drips down the side of his mouth.

    A small vortex opens in the room allowing Ragasha and Felicia to enter. Ragasha has a very smug look on her face and smirks to Moonshade. Shade screams in rage and lunges at the faerie queen as she begins to prep a light spell. Rayven reaches out grabbing Shade's arm and without using words any of the others can hear he tells her to go back to the realm inside the sword and wait there until he says she can come out again. Matt gasps in suprise and then starts to protest as his mother does as she is told without any argument, he can't believe that Rayven is already powerful enough to control one as great as Moonshade so completely. Rayven turns and looks at Matt as he wipes the blood from his face, smiling as he can feel Trisha smile at the action.

    "Matt, her soul." Rayven commands as he tosses a soul gem to Matt who catches it and looks at Ray in confusion as if thinking he must have misheard him. Rayven waves a hand toward Ryia's body and gives Matt a stern look, careful not to be too demanding or it might set Matt off against him, he knows he has to tread carefully with the warrior sprite until his alliance can be secured. "Hurry before it crosses over, you once told me there was a very slim window, don't want to miss it." Matt kneels beside Ryia and summons his control over death and the other side to call Ryia's soul to him and trap it in the gem. Before Matt can trap the soul the body fades, as does whatever was left of her heart. Matt stands again and gives Rayven a helpless shrug tossing the gem back to him. Rayven frowns back but then shrugs himself thinking she was a pixie and has no claim to his throne anyway, therefore she can't be a threat.

    Ragasha takes on a human size form as does Felicia and they step up on either side of Rayven. "This one is her son?" Ragasha asks Rayven causing Matt to frown and take a step back.  Rayven nods once and Ragasha steps toward Matt who immediately thinks of running. Ragasha smiled but she had been predicting that the warrior spirit would be hard to get along with and upon sending some signal with the powers only a queen faerie has two of her warriors stepped out of portals on either side of Matt.  He was still in a slight state of shock, giving Ragasha only a small advantage for Matt was also a seasoned warrior who could react to almost situation. Ragasha reaches out for Matt who doesn't move this time seeing he is cornered and not wanting to leave Rayven just yet or the girls in the hands of evil fairies. Ragasha puts her hand on Matt's chest, he simply takes in a breath letting it out in a sigh. The evil queen smiles, "He is a faerie" her smile disappears as Matt smiles upon her words and she raises her eyebrows in question.

     "The faerie you sense in him is just the host body, he's still a warrior spirit and wears pixie armor. He might not be all that easy to turn to us." Matt looks past Ragasha to Rayven loosing his smile and swallows. He finally understands what that weird pain in his chest that he felt since he got to the room and saw Rayven was evil was fear. Matt has never really felt fear before and the experience unsettles him throwing him even more on guard.

     "Well he's in a faerie body," Ragasha replies dropping her hand and speaking as if Matt wasn't in the room for she doesn't believe he has the power to stop anything she may plan, "we'll just find his wielder and through his sword we can 'suede him to our side." Matt gasps again and his thought rage with thinking he must get out of there and warn Nick. The ground starts to open up under Matt as he summons a portal to the netherworld. Rayven raises a hand giving one of the faerie warriors behind Matt a pre planed signal, the faerie pulls a good sized vial of healing potion from her pouch and throws the bottle at Matt's back. The bottle breaks open shattering is contents on Matt as he is sinking into the portal. He screams in pain then slumps forward passing out. Ragasha steps forward hooking her arms up under Matt's as he falls and then she takes a few steps back dragging him out of the portal which closes as soon as he clears it. Ragasha lays Matt down on the floor and then looks up suddenly as a loud crashing can be heard downstairs.

     "By the power, it's Epona!" Everyone in the room turns to see that Trisha is leaning over the desk looking down through the window to below. "Boy is she tearing up the place, she seem pretty pissed." Trisha looks back at Matt passed out at Ragasha's feet then she looks to her father. Rayven steps over Matt and walks to the door as if nothing important is going on at all. He opens the door and steps just out of the office.

     "Becca quick throw a healing potion at the beast!" One of the barmaids look up at Rayven and the fear in her eyes can be seen clearly as can the confusion. "A healing potion, throw it now!" Epona snorts at Rayven and rears up then charges Becca just as Jake hands her the potion to throw. It doesn't take long at all for the large nightmare to cross the tavern and is soon rearing up to stomp Becca's head in before she can carry out Rayven's order. Becca screams in fear and panic throwing the bottle up at Epona's midsection as she cowers in front of the bar. The nightmare lets out a cry of pain and rage then disperses going back to her own realm. Rayven smirks and chuckles evilly then turns to go back into the office with a smug smile.

     He looks at his three girls as Ragasha steps up to him and nods toward them.  "What about them? Are they to be trusted?"

     "Totally, they would never betray me, or not until they are old enough to rule anyway" Rayven laughs again and offers an evil smile. Ragasha smiles back and sighs in satisfaction, all her dreams are finally turning out fruit, now all she has to do is gain control over Emilio Rugmen and Matt Shikara, then she would have the power to conquer the universe and make Rayven's kingdom truly the greatest ever just as it was prophesied.

     Deekin appears in the city stepping out of a large silver light. Unlike the other Slayers he's seen his king turn evil once before and had been prepared for anything just like Moonshade had trained him to be.  He glances over his shoulder looking out of Makoto's room and to the snow that is falling outside. He frowns as it has never been reported to snow in Shambala before, but then again the pixie city has never had a faerie king before either. Deekin looks back at his brother who seems to understand that something just happened to their mother.  Deekin tries not to think of the paradox that was just created, how could he be standing here if he's never to be born? He shakes his head trying to clear his thoughts, as a Time Warrior he exists outside the space time continuum and is safe from paradoxes. He holds a hand out to his brother and tries to keep up a brave front, "We got to get out of here, neither of us are pure faerie and they only put up with their own kind. They are not anything like the pixies or sprites you are used to dealing with. They are not capable of compassion, love, or mercy and because they eat the hearts of their victims allowing them to take on that person's powers and sometimes a skill or two they tend to be more powerful then pixies or sprites."

     Deekin glances over his shoulder quickly as if hearing something Makoto can not, through his Slayer armor he hears Rayven's command for the pixies to find Makoto and Deekin and detain them both. He looks back to his brother with great worry, "Look I'm not used to being the big brother and I only became a Time Warrior so you'll have to help me out here. And we have to get to Jeremy before Dad does, the boy's a heir so if we don't get him now he'll be too well guarded to get later, we can use his to get Arachne back on our side. Now hurry because we need to get to Rhysse too, his life will be in danger as will his kids, Ragasha will want to secure her hold on Avalon, which means Shayan and Blue are in danger as well."
