Tucker

Sally steps slowly and carefully checking to make sure Bob is only a few feet down the hall in case she needs back up, cause she didn’t think the other two in the living room below will get there in time if the target starts fighting back. The man they were ordered to kill is some what of a legend among the Space Rangers, rumored to be immortal and have mystical powers. Sally doesn’t always believe rumors, but she does believe the old adage “it’s better to be safe than sorry”.

She hears water running from the other side of a door and pushes it open with her gun to reveal a steaming bathroom filled with mist. The shower is running and through the smoky glass doors Sally can see the well built form of a man. She step in and it’s like stepping into a sona, water vapor immediately settles on her laser rifle and causes her hair to cling to her face, sticky from steam and her own sweat invoked by the hot room. She raises her gun and thinks of all those rumors as she silently laughs to herself.

Tucker thinks he hears something and the hair on the back of his neck stands on end as it always does when he is in danger. He hears the low hum a laser rifle makes right after the trigger is pulled as it builds energy to fire. He drops immediately, but not soon enough to keep from getting hit in the shoulder. Sally frowns at the glass doors for not braking cause they are blocking her sight. She takes a small step forward and reaches for the handle to slide the doors aside. the doors shatter as Tucker jumps through, the last thing Sally ever sees is Tucker’s elbow coming at her face, her nose breaks and her head snaps back with a deadly crack.

Bob hears Sally’s laser fire and the breaking glass and smiles thinking she must have gotten the Space Ranger. He is stunned to see Sally laying in a lifeless heap on the floor and the ranger standing over her naked and dripping with water and blood. Bob only hesitated for a split second, plenty of time for tucker to deliver a powerful kick to Bob’s chest sending the man back and over the balcony railing to the living room below.

Tucker notes the startled gasps of Betty and Joe, Bob’s other teammates, and curses as he grabs a towel wrapping it around his waist. Hoping to take the other by surprise Tucker jumps over the balcony landing light as a cat next to Bob who lays gasping on the floor. He finds himself right next to Betty and Joe who had moved in to check on Bob, ignoring the pain in his shoulder, he immediately delivers a backhanded blow to Betty’s face taking her down immediately. He is somewhat aware of the man behind him reaching for a gun and kicks out knocking the gun out of the man’s grasp and across the room. Joe dives for his gun and Tucker starts forward but hears movement behind him as Bob gets up and raises his gun at Tucker’s back, the ranger spins and kicks in such a sudden movement that Bob is caught off guard and the gun is sent flying across the room.

“All right, that’s enough!” Joe shouts as he raises his gun at the Space Ranger. Tucker stops and doesn’t bother looking back at Joe, thinking it would only scare him into shooting and he wants to buy as much time as possible. Bob pulls out his back up weapon and holds the laser pistol at Tucker, but hesitates when Joe cry out suddenly in startled pain. Tucker hopes backup has arrived and leaps for Bob trying to get the gun away from him. They struggle over the gun and it fires. Bob drops dead at the Ranger’s feet and Tucker turns to see who it was that helped him.

Cassi stands over the body of Joe grinning wickedly, a bloody sword in her hands. She wonders if Tucker realizes his towel fell off in the struggle with Bob and her smile widens. Tucker look at the green haired woman funny then suddenly notices where she is staring, he quickly grabs his towel off the floor and covers himself again.
