| Mission Statement |
| Voltess is a group set up with the purpose to educate. Not to descriminate other religions but to educate others about the Wiccan Religion and other earth based studies, & to create a better understanding of what we believe, so as to disprove some common miscomceptions about our faith. For too long slander has gone on about our religion and now more than ever we believe that is our duty to at least make the difference in a few peoples minds about what we truely stand for. We like to think of Voltess as a group for high school and college aged kids to come and have a safe place to learn, where they don't feel alone. We'd also like to stress that we are strictly a study group not a coven. We are here for weekly workshops on random spiritual related subjects. |
| How We Came To Be... |
| Voltess(Voltz for short) was started by MamSilvertree of West Newfield Maine back in November of 2003 as a spin off of her coven. It was created as a base for all her work she had done for her coven and as a way to have younger kids who were not of age to be in a coven to still have a safe atmosphere to learn. Along with the help of her left and right hands (BlackRose and Cee Cee) the group was up and running. Granted it had it's ups and downs in the past year but now we are finally on the track we set out to be. Now taking on new members outside the founding 6 that set out to create the group, we are finding that there is a great need for what we have set up. There is a wide interest in our area and we are trying to get the word out that we exsist, so that we can accomplish our mission. To Educate. Hopefully within the next year we will be seeing much success in all we have worked for and we will have made our little dent in society. |

| What We Do... |
| Generally each sunday we meet at one of the members house's and we have a workshop of sorts. We open the meeting formally with lighting the God and Goddess candles. There is then a meditationa nd an open discussion of past events and future ones to come. Then one or two lesson are taugh by one of the founding upper level members. The lesson is of their choice but is approved by the upper triad that runs the group. It a fun loving atmosphere where just about anyone with and open mind and is willing to learn is welcome. The group is there to teach the uninformed what we can and be there to help eachother. We are not just a Wiccan study group but also a support group with everything form life to school. We treat the people here like family and it seems to be that family atmosphere that makes it such a comfortable learning place. |
