why this movie rocks: first, while 90% of the music is not original work, they creativily manage to string the songs together to form a coherent story. the voice of ewan mcgregor, especially during "your song," absolutely makes my heart melt, as does his smile. it's the kind of movie that makes you believe that romantic, passionate love really does exist in the world. the cinematography is beautiful and artistic, and just sort of sweeps you into their lives. all around, the movie is breathtaking. most notable quotes: "the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return." "you expect me to believe that scantily clad, in the arms of another man, in the middle of the night, inside an elephant, you were rehearsing?" favorite scenes: the "poetry reading," christian singing "your song" and the love song medley |
