Races

Hobgoblins

Making their home in western Amduray, Hobgoblins live in a tightly regimented society. With little value placed on the individual, hobgoblins are usually gruff, combative, and seen as primitive by the other races.

Hobgoblins range from under six to around seven feet tall, in both men and women. All hobgoblins have strong builds and little bodyfat; the workers are usually thin in a starved looking manner, while the more skilled tend to be extremely fit. Hobgoblins have light greenish skin, with some of them having fangs (both on the upper and lower jaw) that curve over their lips. Their hair tends to be thin, wiry, and black.

Vargauches

Flemarez'akets

Flemareza'kets are savage feline humanoids who are often great hunters. Many have little regard for human life, and even less for those of thier kind that side with humans. Flemereza'kets have a fiery hot temper gained from thier elemental side, often becoming enraged at the most minor slights. Flemereza'kets, even more so then other Vargauches, have a true pack mentality..

Flemereza'kets range from five to six feet tall, and usually weigh 100 to 200 pounds, with little noticable difference in height and weight between men and women. Flemereza'kets are covered in reddish orange fur that turns to white around the joints, usually with black tiger stripes along thier bodies. They have tails that range from two to three feet long, and cat-like ears and a short nose. Flemereza'ket's teeth are sharper then human's, and they have sharp claws on their hands and feet.

Tengaradu

Prone to introspection and analysis, Tengaradu are the wisest of the Vargauches. Able to think their way through a situation rather rather than brute force a solution, Tengaradu tend to be natural leaders amoung their kind. While intelligent, Tengaradu tend to the less academic side. Caring more for art, beauty, and wisdom than book learning, many Tengaradu view a connection to nature as necessary to truely live.

Tengaradu rarely top more then five feet tall, and usually weigh less then 140 pounds. Exceptionally thin, they also have hollow bones. The least human of all the Vargauches, Tengaradu are covered in black feathers, and have bony, three-fingered talons for feet and hands. Despite the talons, they have amazingly nimble manual dexterity and can manipulate objects and weapons easily. They lack a mouth and nose, and instead have sharp, shining black beaks. At the end of each shoulderblade, a Tengaradu has a large black wing, strong enough to carry it in flight.

Otubudak

Otubudak are amoung the most easy going, drifting through life. Otubudak tend not to let much bother them, and approach things with a level of calmness - or apathy. Most Otubudak are not interested in much, besides a few choice pursuits that they become extremely devoted to, even if they don't know much about (in which case, devotion takes the form of curiousity).

Long and curvy, Otubudak usually stand six feet tall and weigh around 145 pounds. They have thin, slender bodies covered in soft, smooth brown hair that turns white around the belly. Thier noses are small and black, with two pairs of thin whiskers. They have a long tail that stretches down, often dragging on the ground. When walking or swimming, Otubudak tend to shift and wiggle their entire body.

Drog'nithlos

Drog'nithlos are slow and ponderous, taking long periods of time to consider things. While not dumb, they simply have the patience of stone. Drog'nithlos are fiercly loyal, not just to thier kind, but to whoever they consider friends. Despite an emphasis on thinking and slow consideration, Drog'nithlos are quite good at solving problems in a direct, physical way using great strength.

Drog'nithlos resemble nothing so much as armor plated hobgoblins. Reaching between 6 to 7 feet when standing straight, and 250 to 300 pounds, Drog'nithlos walk hunched over making them look much shorter. Along thier backs and the backs of thier arms are thick armored platings of a brown coloration that resemble an armadillo's. Like an armadillo, a Drog'nithlo can curl up into a ball. The large, meaty fingers of a Drog'nithlo end in sharp claws that can tunnel through dirt and stone as easily as they tear through flesh and armor.
