Necromancy Abilities

Blood Pact
Action: Free
Range: Self
Effect: By sacrificing his own lifeforce, the character can better withstand attacks. At any point during a round, the character may deal wounds to himself in exchange for a bonus to defense until his next round. Each wound dealt gives the character a +2 bonus to defense.

Consume Soul
Action: Attack
Range: Short
Effect: Channeling dark energies, the character eats away at his target's soul, gaining brief bursts of knowledge of how his target fights. The character makes a Moxie-based 18 damage Death attack against a single target. In addition to normal damage, the character gains a +2 bonus to defense against the target's attacks for a number of rounds equal to wounds dealt.

Devil's Eye
Action: Attack
Range: Short
Effect: With a cursed glare, the character weakens his foe's spirit. The character makes a Moxie-based +4 accuracy 18 damage Death attack against his target, and chooses one of his target's statistics. This attack deals no wounds, but for each wound that would be dealt the target suffers a -1 penalty to that statistic, as well as an additional -1 penalty to Accuracy against the character. This ability's effects last for 2 rounds.

Death's Touch
Action: Attack
Range: Melee
Effect: Infusing his hand with dark enemies, the character makes a Moxie-based 20 damage Death attack against one target. In addition to normal damage, the target suffers a -1 penalty to Death resistance for a number of rounds equal to the wounds dealt. Multiple uses of Death's Touch have stacking durations, but not penalties.

Dread Aura
Requirements: At least 1 other Necromancy ability
Action: Passive
Range: Melee
Effect: Death exudes from the character's soul. Any enemies who have a negative effect on them from a Necromancy ability with a duration in rounds do not have that duration reduced as long as they remain within melee range of the character.

Induce Terror
Action: Attack
Range: Medium
Effect: Tapping into their worst nightmares, the character uses his enemies' greatest fears against them. The character makes a Moxie-based +2 Accuracy 20 damage Death attack against all enemies within range. This attack deals no damage. Instead, the targets suffer a penalty to accuracy equal to the wounds that would have been dealt until the end of the character's next turn.

Nightmare Come True
Action: Attack
Range: Medium
Effect: The character overwhelms a target with visions of his worst nightmares, causing him to actually feel the pain they would inflict. The character makes a Moxie-based 20 damage Death attack against his target as normal. At the character's choice, less wounds can be inflicted in exchange for terrorizing his foe. The target can only make a single Move or Attack action (in addition to Free actions) for one round per each wound sacrificed.

Shadow Companion
Range: Long
Effect: The character's mastery over Necromancy allows him to control his shadow. His shadow is under his complete control, and has a base speed of 20m but cannot stay further than Medium range. Each round, the character can choose to act, or have his shadow act. His shadow can be the origin of any of his abilities, and is able to make a Strength or Moxie based "weapon" attack thas has +2 accuracy and deals 18 Death damage. The shadow is targetable with abilities, and shares all of the character's statistics and resistances before equipment modifiers. Any damage the shadow suffers is transfered to the character. If an area effect targets both the character and his shadow, only the character is effected. The character can recall his shadow to him as a Free action anytime during his round.

Touch of Madness
Action: Attack
Range: Short
Effect: Tapping into the target's mind, the character causes him to go mad. The character makes a Moxie-based +2 accuracy 16 damage Death attack against the target. No wounds are dealt, but for each that would have been inflicted, the target suffers from the Touch of Madness for one round. While under the effects of Touch of Madness, the target can only make normal attacks and benefit from passive abilities. He moves towards the closest creature, friend or foe, and attacks him with whatever melee weapon or attack he has handy. While in this state, the target gains a +2 bonus to damage but suffers a -2 penalty to defense.

Vampiric Might
Requirements: Any 3 other Necromancy abilities
Action: Passive
Effect: If the character is damaged by an enemy, he has a chance to recover lost wounds on his next action. If he attacks the target that wounded him last round with a Death attack, he heals one wound for each wound dealt. He cannot heal himself for more than his target inflicted last round.
