In recent years, there were more books in English written on the subject. Most of these books are interesting, educational and informative. Generally, the contents are about the basics, flying stars, reading Bazi, some Xuan Kong theories and etc. There are even some courses in English.
However, I'll like to bring up some concerns.
Firstly, there were different era where classic scripts were written. Some scripts were distorted. While some others were misinterpreted or wrongly handcopied.
Secondly, classic scripts in Chinese are not easy to be comprehended nor interpreted.
Thirdly, when passing a message can usually ends up with another meaning, then similarly, not only a translation can end up distorted, the choice of words used will also mislead the reader to a different perspective.
Moreover, in the olden days, great masters like to split up verbal and written formulas. In many cases, some secrets were withheld (common practises of Chinese masters).
Nowadays, many people after reading a few books went about to DIY or after attending some courses named themselves 'masters'. Results poor is one issue while the biggest problem maybe causing others harm/ bad luck etc.
Do not belittle the harmful effects of bad Feng Shui. It can cause loss of wealth, health problems and even death both to self and family members.
Authentic Feng Shui are practises and methods that adheres to the well guarded secrets of metaphysics. Whether be it English translated books or Chinese interpreted books, there bound to have misinterpreted scripts by the respective authors or actual working secrets not revealed.
Authentic Masters/ Practitioners
Many practioners started to audit for people's houses after reading some books or after attending to some courses. This is insufficient to properly advise their customers. What the most important thing in metaphysics is to see it works. The effects should be immediate. If anyone is to tell you it will takes weeks, months or even years to work, then it is not the truth.
The effects of Feng Shui is constantly working and always present. On the other hand, when it is not properly applied, there will be misfortune or bad consequences. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to make sure the "master" is not an apprentice, a DIY after reading/attending a few courses or
a philosopher.
A genuine master is one who has lots of effective practical experiences. He should be well verse with many methods. Most importantly is that he can read your Bazi and tells you not only about your future but also the past accurately to the year and month. Ask him events 3, 5 and 10 years ago. If he is unable to tell, then don't engage his services.
