Once we have arrived in Puerto Montt, we shall have two options. The first will be to wait for a boat that goes once a week down the coast of southern Chile. It will take us directly to Chaiten. Lizard Lodge is along the coast below Chaiten, close to where the 'o' of Golfo de Corovado sits against the Chilean coast. The second option is to take a bus from Puerto Montt to Castro, and from there another bus to Quellon Viejo. There is a boat from Quellon Viejo to Chaiten twice a week. Jeeps will be waiting for us to take us to Lizard Lodge from Chaiten. We should allow from 12 to 24 hours to travel from Puerto Montt to Lizard Lodge.
