Originally from Mountian View,CA & raised in Fort Worth, Texas, David attended the Savannah College of Art & Design for 5 & a half years earning a BFA in the majors of Sequential Art and Illustration. Originall pursuing a caree as a comic book artsit, David changed his path 2 years into art school & decided to pursue a caree in concept design. 3 weeks after graduating from SCAD in the summer of 2003, David was offered a job as a freelance designer for McFarlane toys. He still maintains this job from his home in Savannah, GA & has thus far worked on such lines as Spawn 26 and Tortured Souls 3.
As you can plainly read David has got pleanty of umm... cradentials *scratches head an looks for the dictionary* Anyway, enough of my stupidity and more about David's art. |

These 2 Pachycephalosaurus images have been really well designed. You can tell that David has taken his time to ensure that the distinct features of the Pachycephalosaurus has been expressed, such as the distinct head and neck as well as the ridged tail. He's managed to created a sleek Zoid whilst still maintaining the overall mechanical feel and best of all theres no visible influences from any other Zoid(s). |

It has to be seen to be belived. The world of Zoids and Transformers comes together to form Gojulas Prime... The amount of detail that David has put into this drawing is incredible. This Zoid/Transformer (Zoidformer) looks so real, its as if is a finalisation drawing for a new line of toys. Lkie I aready said the detail is outstanding. The drawing includes all those little things about the Gojulas That you wouldn't think of to include (like the hoses ion its legs). The coloured head shot has been well done, although its a bit too dark for my liking (you can't see all the detail of the face). The texture effect on the blue areas is very realistic. |
