Uncontrolable Fear of the Mantis In my front yard I walked coming home My sheprador under the little tree And thats when I saw the thing On the porch rail staring back at me I tried to stay calm, go through the basement But the praying insect reared up and sprang Landing on my shirt keeping me still Its triangle face came to a point like a fang I closed my eyes and breathed normally If I cant see it I think its not there But I fell to the ground with that on my chest I slightly opened one eye; it kept its evil stare Astro! I screamed if the dog came He would scare it away, but he sat under that tree I tried to flick it away without looking But my hand was paralyzed and I couldnt get it free Its tiny pupils shot through its eyes In quick motions looking at me I closed my eyes again and said to myself Its not there since I cant see it I could feel it moving up my face slowly Its arms breezing my nose and his legs next to my lips I began to cry with tears falling in the grass All he did was sit there on my head While the tears slid off my cheek in fast drips I couldnt hold it in anymore I let out a scream as loud as I could scream And awaking in my bed breathing hard It was in my bed safe and sound it was all a dream. I looked up at my window and realized it was true The creature was standing there in my windowsill I didnt hesitate to do what I needed to do I shot out of bed, closed the window and sat still That individual would haunt me no more
Bubble Bath The essence of flowers as I sink into a trance The warm water a physical lullaby Aqua shadows on the ceiling With the window open My senses are confused I hear the crickets outside Washing away stress.
The Vow of Silence I sit in silence Not a word comes out of my mouth Sew my lips together. Kill me so I may not go through it I have said the worst thing I could say Forgive me world of my desires. I do not wish to say another word How could something so cursed? Come out of my mouth I sit in silence Not a word comes out of my mouth For fear that I shall say it again "Bow wow wow yippie yo yippie yea."
