| 1. One paragraph summary of the key idea The key idea of this section seems to be centered around the conscience. All of us in the class took a different method to go about making a decision and and making a good one. These methods let us all take a logical and rational approach to making a well informed decision. The studying of the catechism helps to give us specific knowledge about sin and important aspects of a well formed conscience. Through the catachism, we can model our own consciouses in its image and try and compare important desicions we make against the catholic church's views. |

| 2. The 3 most important idea's The first major idea I want to remember is the option method. Option, Prayer, Testing, Information, Obligations, and New Options. First, One needs to write down all the options, and the motives for each option and its possible consequences. Next, one needs to pray for courage and guidance, and then test his possible choices against his values. Then, Know all the fatcs possible, and ask other people or their input. Finally, check to see if it violates any obligations you have, including with God, and restart the process if you find a new option. This six step process can help us to arrive at a logical and proper decision, where we can understand the consequences and motives for wanting to choose different options. By understanding oursleves, and looking for God and his wrod for guidance we can truly make a well informed decision. The second major idea I want to remember is the Principle of Human Dignity. This idea states that "every human being is created in the image of God... and therefore if worthy of respect as a member fo the human family." If I can truely learn and follow this method I can free myslef from discrimation(race, gender, age, or religion) in my own mind and not bolster my own self image or think I'm better then someone else because I will know we are all equal. Every person deserves dignity and respec, and i need to make sure I treat everyone according to this principle The thrid major idea I want to remember is conscience as a power. As a power it is our most sarced core where God dwells. It provides us with freedom to be ourselves and make our own decisions. If I can understand this process I can be more confident in my choices and be my own man. Also, conscience as a process- a weighting of options based on logic. This can help me to check to see if my emotions have been running my decisions or if I've been letting htem get the better of me. |

| What is the most important aspect of a well formed conscience and how will I know when I have achieved one? | |||||||||||||
| In this section I have learned the importance of having a well formed conscience and also a sense of human equality from the 10 building blocks. I understand the conseqences of not having an accurate conscience because I still could think I'm doing right but really be preforming a bad action. The study of the catechism lets me form my conscience according to church teachings from the magisterium, so that I can not only know what my church preaches but live it. | |||||||||||||
