See, how they're all numbered? Typically when putting up drabble based on one of said prompts, the site meta will ask you to also put the number/word of the prompt you used. Although they really shouldn't have to ask. It's common sense really.
As far as I personally know there is no standard to the prompt words you use. The ones above were all submitted by members of the community the challenge came from. In fact, if you were so inclined you could probably request the prompts be themed, or you could make them all up yourself. It doesn't matter. A prompt is a prompt is a prompt.
EXAMPLE: a drabble from the prompt table challenge above
Title: Co-habitation
Author: Anonymous LJ user (used with permission)
Prompt #: 10 (Momentos)
Characters: Matt, Mohinder, Molly(mentioned)
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Disclaimer: NBC owns these characters/the show they're from.
Summary: Matt discovers something he shouldn't.
Word Count: 172
Matt likes how worn and lived in the apartment is. Even being its newest resident he never feels like hes intruding.
Not that Mohinders warm and fuzzy when Mollys not around, but hes quiet and good about letting Matt just be, which is all the cop really wants right now with the divorce.
Though there is one thing Mohinder isnt comfortable with. Its really weird.
The things so simple, but nice, clearly usable. Collecting dust in back of the cupboard it seems almost as lonely as Matt --its shattered companion nestled deep inside.
Once, Matt had taken the lime green teacup down and tried to use it, clean it out.
He was stopped by a livid Mohinder, who snatched the dish away, promptly stashing it in his desk drawer.
When Matt asked what his problem was, a strange expression crossed the geneticists face. The look wasnt anything Matt could read but Mohinder was definitely bothered as he sputtered, Its nothing. It wasnothingjust leave it alone.
Matt never brought it up again.
You will notice the above drabble uses the community's requested header or guide all the participants were to put above their drabble so people knew what was going on before they read the drabble. It's a commone practice and very useful for your own challenges.
All headers or guides should have at least the basic info:
Author (just in case they're posting someone else's for them)
Prompt # (which word/quote/picture inspired you, so people can read it in context and count it on your tab)
Rating (it's common courtesy so young eyes don't read)
Summary (or what the drabble's about. this isn't exactly necessary because many drabbles are so short, but it's nice to see and it's helps)
It's always nice to add more such as Warnings (or what's bad in the drabble), and Disclaimer (so you don't get sued if you're writing non-original characters). There are others you can use as well, but the main are all here and any extras will vary with the site.
