1-POUND LOAF                                   INGREDIENTS                                  1 1/2-POUND LOAF
1/2 cup                                                  milk                                                   2/3 cup
1/3 cup                                                  water                                                1/2 cup
3/4 teaspoon                                       salt                                                    1 teaspoon
1 1/2 cups                                            bread flour                                       2 cups
1/2 cup                                                  whole wheat flour                          1 cup
1/4 cup   (1 ounce)                             shredded Cheddar cheese         1/2 cup (2 ounces)
3 tablespoons   (3/4 ounce)            grated Parmesan cheese           1/4 cup (1 ounce)
1 tablespoon                                       sugar                                               1 tablespoon
1 1/2 teaspoons  FLEISCHMANN'S Bread Machine Yeast                  2 teaspoons


Directions

Use the 1-pound recipe if your machine pan holds 10 cups or less of water. Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer, adding the cheeses with the flours. Store bread in the refrigerator; bring to room temperature before serving.

Recommended cycle: Basic/white bread cycle; light or medium/normal color setting.

Tip:

For beginners in yeast breads, the bread machine is a good way to familiarize yourself with the actual feel of dough that is ready for shaping. BM can be set on dough cycle then shaped into rolls for baking in the conventional oven. It's also good for family-size recipes, and mess-free!

In choosing BM, seek out the one with timer feature and with wheat bread cycle.
Double Cheese Wheat Bread
Place wet ingredients at 75-85 deg F first before putting fry ingredients into the baking pan
Run under Basic Bread cycle
check every 5 minutes, adding more flour or water as necessary, by increments of 1 tsp
The last hour is the baking time
serve while hot
