Comments On This Week's Charts |
Let me just start this week by telling everyone how GREAT it is to be done with finals! Now I can really get down to my charts and gearing up for the year ends that will be coming up after next week.
As tipped off last week, Crazytown take over the number one spot. This gives them two number ones to their credit. Coming in right behind them though is Iio, who finally follow up their international supersmash, Rapture, with their latest. More on that later ...
Nick Carter not only is this week's longevity champ, but also makes a nice rebound on my charts this week. I have his next single ready to go, but I will wait until I get sick of this one. Alicia Keys finally is making headway with her LATEst track (note the late!). It moves up 20 spots. T.A.T.U. takes a hit this week as their latest falls back 18 spots to number 39.
Well, seeing as I need to get ready to pack for home, I'm going to have to cut this off. My charts for next week will not be posted until probably next Monday. Anyway, until then .. MERRY X-MAS! (I'm not really a big fan of X-mas charts, but what the hell .. if the UK has them .. why not me too!)

At The End |
Iio |
Finally I have a new song from Iio! I first discovered this one a few weeks ago on the Austrailian Dance charts where, to my knowledge, is the only place this has been released as a single. I then saw it on my friend Craig's chart and rememberd to download it. Ok, so obviously this isn't as good as Rapture , but it's pretty damn close. After hearing it for a full week, this one easily comes in at number two, only being held out of number one because of Crazytown. This one could easily be number one next week, being number one a year to date after Rapture.

Anyway (Men Are From Mars) |
Amber |
The latest from Amber is somewhat a depature for her. This one is actually a rather sentimental mid-tempo track. It's got a great chorus that will immediately get stuck in your head! Go check it out!

Take Me As I Am |
Tonic |
As far as I know, this is only the second chart hit for the band. Their first, the 4 week number one (number two of 1997), was If You Could Only See. These guys have been producing great music since then, but the US has all but forgotten them. It's a shame too because this is a good rock track! Go take a listen!
