Comments On This Week's Charts |
Well compared to most weeks lately, this week seems to be rather slow. The entire top three stays the same this week as Jakatta holds on to the number one spot for a second week in a row. After having numerous number one debuts these past couple of weeks, it's nice to have a song stay atop the charts for more than a lone week.
This does keep Craig David and Sarah Whatmore from reclaiming the top spot, or newcomer Jewel from taking it. Next week should be a big week to see if Jakatta can hold on to the top for yet another week. I guess you will just have to come back and see.
There have been a lot of big moves DOWN lately. Some songs have peaked rather quickly only to then quickly fall down the charts. Anastacia falls down 15 spots to be this weeks biggest faller, but I think this one will be going back up in coming weeks. The biggest mover this week is Aqualung, who rise an amazing 24 spots to number 13 with Strange And Beautiful. This one should be top 10 bound next week. Seeing as I am behind on my charts this week, I am going to make this week's comments brief. So see you next week.

Serve The Ego |
Jewel |
Thanks to a great remix, this becomes Jewel's second top 10 hit this year. Standing Still hit number 6 early in the year. This Way was a top 20 hit earlier in the summer. This should be a contender for number one next week. The sound is so 80's is fantastic!

Work It |
Missy Elliot |
A very ODD song, but at the same time, a very fun song. Definitely worth checking out. Probably won't be a big hit, but a good song nonetheless.
|
32 |
Can't Stop Loving You |
Phil Collins |
After being over saturated with You'll Be In My Heart, Phil Collins returns with his latest. The song is pretty good and is becoming a huge hit on AC radio. Will this one be a huge hit here? Only time will tell.

Walk On Water |
Milk Inc. |
Great dance song from the UK. Not really much else to say .. go check it out!

In A Little While |
Uncle Kracker |
After being so OVERPLAYED in 2001 with Follow Me, Uncle Kracker returns. This one isn't the best song, but at least it's catchy enough. If you liked Follow Me, you'll probably like this one too.
