Comments On This Week's Charts
This has indeed been a very hectic week on the charts.  There are nine debuts this week (a record so far this year).  I have been trying to catch up on downloading, so therefore I found a lot of new stuff I really like.  That also means we had to say goodbye to a lot of good music as well.  Oh well, that's just chart life!

Again we see another song debut at number one, the fifth week in a row this has happened.  I really am not trying to do this, but I figure that if it's going to happen, I might as well let it.  This week, Jakatta and Seal are the new number one.  Ever So Lonely barely cracked the top 40 earlier this year, so this is definitely sweet revenge for Jakatta.  This is also Seal's first number one as well as Jakatta's.

This week's biggest mover is Madonna.  I caught the debut of the video for Die Another Day.  All I have to say is that the video is AWESOME!  Definitely worth checking out.  The maxi-single comes out the 22nd, so go and buy it!  Support the single.  In the way of the video, Madonna shoots into the top 10 at number 8, up 18 from last week.

Both of the Minogues manage to earn this week's biggest faller award, each falling 20 spots to numbers 39 and 28 respectively.  There are quite a few songs that take the plunge this week.  Kelly Clarkson and David Guetta, both former number ones each take a plunge down 13.

Speaking of Clarkson, Before Your Love is actually continuing to grow on me and this week, moves up 2 more spots to number 9.  Duncan Sheik also achieves a new "high" with On A High, which finally after 10 weeks hits the top 10 at number 10.  Nick Carter keeps moving up with his debut solo single.  Help Me moves up 8 spots to number 23.

And finally this week, Lucas Prata and Morten Abel each hold this week's longevity champ award, each with 14 weeks under their belts.  I don't know if Morten Abel will be able to hold on, but if he does he will have sole possession next week.

New On The Charts This Week

My Vision
Jakatta feat. Seal
This one had me almost immediately.  What a great dance song.  This one just hit the top 10 in the UK last week.  Seal has also never sounded better.  Definitely worth checking out!

11
My Culture
1 Giant Leap
feat. Robbie Williams & Maxi Jazz

I have actually known of this track for quite some time.  It was a hit in the UK earlier this year and is on NOW 52.  I finally started to listen to this track last week and saw the video on MTV.  It's finally starting to sink in how good of a track this is.  Definitely check this puppy out!

I'm Gonna
Getcha Good
Shania Twain
FINALLY!  we get to hear new Shania Twain.  I has been almost 5 years now since Come On Over has been released.  That album was a PHENOMINAL success here in the states, selling upwards of 15 million copies.  The album stayed on the charts for quite some time too, as there were about 10 singles lifted from the album, 8 of which made the top 40.  Well, her latest is from her new album, Up!  To be honest, this really isn't anything new.  We have heard it all from Shania before, catchy chorus with those "Mutt Lange" harmonies everyone has come to know and love.  Though it's nothing new .. it's still a great track.  Go take a listen if you liked anything from Come On Over.

20
Dy-na-mi-tee
Ms. Dynamite
Ms. Dynamite is a British R & B artist.  This is her second single, a former UK top 10 hit, and is pretty laid back.  Definitely a nice song to hear at night.  Go check it out!

21
Electrical Storm
U2
I am not a HUGE U2 fan, but this song is pretty good.  It's from their latest hits collection, 1990 - 2000.  Good song, and if you can, get the William Orbit mix.

26
The Game Of Love
Santana feat. Michelle Branch
I am honestly really suprised that this song is so good.  I figured that this would be a big flop and Santana's career would be back to where it was a few years ago.  Anyway, that is not the case and this track is actually pretty good and is proving to be a big smash at US radio.  Go check it out!

34
Life Goes On
LeAnn Rimes
Twisted Angel is the name of the new LeAnn Rimes album upon which this song appears.  LeAnn is making moves away from the country scene and more towards a pop sound.  This one is a good song, but just hasn't caught on as much as it should yet.

36
Anticipating
Britney Spears
This is the 3rd single Ms. Spears has charted this year.  Currently, this is a single in France.  I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman spent two weeks at number one in January. Overprotected had two chart lives, reaching number 5 in February.  Her next single, Boys, is currently bubbling under and will probably not make it on the charts. Anticipating is a pretty fun song and could have a successful chartlife if I keep listening to it.

37
Strange And Beautiful
Aqualung
This was formerly a top 10 in the UK too.  (A lot of UK hits this week!)  This one is very hauntingly "Strange and Beautiful".  Definitely a very mellow track and worthy of hearing!
