| Comments: The big news story of this week would have to be 4 Strings, who this week earn their biggest hit by making the biggest move up to number two with their latest, "Let It Rain." If history has anything to say, I'm sure 4 Strings' time near the top won't be long. But I may be wrong .. only time will tell. Ex-Sugababe Siobhan Donaghy makes this week's highest debut with her second single. In it's first week, the song already manages to become her biggest hit. The only other debut this week comes from ex-All Saint Mel Blatt. Mel's former bandmates, Appleton, have already had two top 20 hits on my charts. Coldplay and Christina each make this week's biggest fall, down 17. What's odd about each of these artists is that they have both had big hits on the charts before but are struggling with their current singles. "The Scientist" kinda already had it in the cards to not do well, since it had already started a chart run back in December but dropped out as "Clocks" over took it. When it reemerged on my charts, due to it's push in the US, I had grown fairly tired of it. Ever since "Beautiful" hit the top 10, Christina hasn't been able to get back there again. Her last two hits, "Fighter" and "Can't Hold Us Down," have only gone top 25 and 20 respectively. I'm sure that this is only a temporary slump though. Ok, time's up for now. Life is busy this week!!! That's all for this week ... until next week .... |
