COMMENTS ON THIS WEEKS CHARTS
After a rather busy week, things sort of slow down this week.  I say sort of because there is a lot of movement within the charts this week.  A few songs make big moves towards the top, a few make big moves away from it.  But for the 6th week in a row now, Dirty Vegas holds the top spot with Ghosts.  The song is really a great one, but has definitely begun to wane on my interests.  I don't think it will be number one for too much longer.  If this song can hold on for one more week, it will have the longest number one run of the year, consecutive or nonconsecutive.

Speaking of nonconsecutive, Beyonce Knowles restarts one of these runs with her debut solo hit,
Work It Out.  The song originally was a top 30 hit earlier this summer, but I lost interest in it pretty quickly.  I FINALLY saw AP3 this past weekend, and LOVED the film.  Therefore Work It Out got stuck in my head this week and it really is a good song.  I'm almost kinda sad that US Radio didn't pick up on it.  But that actually will help the song on my charts in the long run.  Also from exposure to the film, Britney squeaks on the charts at number 47 with the original version of Boys (not too fond of the Co-ed remix with Pharell Williams of the Neptunes).

This week two songs share the biggest mover award.  After struggling for a few weeks, Atomic Kitten finally start gaining some ground with their latest,
It's Ok! Their next hit, a cover of Blondie's The Tide Is High mixed in with the new track Get The Feeling, just hit number one in the UK, but probably won't make it on my chart.  Who knows???  The Kittens are going to be threatened in the UK this week by the other biggest mover this week, Appleton.  They move up 18 spots as well to number 3 with Fantasy.  This one has a slight chance of being number one next week, but don't hold your breath.

Well, after staying in the top 20 for the better part of four months, I have finally tired of Tiffany's
Open My Eyes.  The songs tumbles 20 spots this week to number 38 and this will likely be the songs last week.  But don't cry for her, as of now Open My Eyes is in the top 5 for the year.

Ashanti all makes a 19 spot fall to number 23 this week from number 4.  OUCH!  This one isn't going anywhere, but I have started to get a little tired of it.  Anyway, that's all for this week.  Have a good week and let's hope nothing happens on Wednesday (fingers crossed).

Oh, and don't worry about not seeing Kelly Clarkson's songs on my chart, they will be here soon enough.  The single is being released in a week, so I will be rushing my butt out to get a copy.  I will probably wait to chart it until then.  Let's hope US radio picks up on it!!!
NEW ON THE CHARTS
07 - DIRRTY - Christina Aguilera
The first single from Christina's new album is definitely HOT,
HOT IN HERRE almost!  LOL  I guess double RR's are the latest trend in pop music.  Anyway, this song will be a hit, no doubt about it.  Can't wait to see the video!

28 - SK8ER BOI - Avril Lavigne
Avril's second single and first to make my charts.
Complicated just didn't do it for me and then radio overplayed the hell out of it.  Anyway this one is a very cute rocker song.  Definitely worth checking out.

33 - ALONE - Lasgo
This is the follow up to their number 2 smash,
Something.  This one won't fair quite as well, but is still a good dance track nonetheless.

40- SHOOT THE DOG - George Michael
Techniquely this is GM's debut single on my chart.  I think this video is very funny and is a good spoof.  The song is also catchy as hell too!  Anyway, as I always say .. go check it out!
