Comments:

After 5 weeks at the top, Becky Baeling finally gives up the top spot to ... well .. HERSELF!  This is the first time in my charts where a person has succeeded themselves at number one.  "If You Love Me" had spent 4 weeks waiting at number two.  To my knowledge, that is the longest hold at number two before going to number one.  If Becky can hold on to the top spot again next week, it will be the longest any act has held the top spot since the beginning of the Top 40 (9 weeks is still the longest in total chart history).

The bottom half of the top 10 this week is full of strong competitors.  Macy Gray finally moves into the top 5 with her latest.  Mis-teeq scores their first top 10 hit this week.  Shania Twain scores another top 10 hit.  I'm not sure of how many she's had, but I think this is her fifth.

The S Club ... oops ... I mean American Juniors have the highest debut this week.  "One Step Closer" by the S Club Juniors managed to squeak in last year at number 37.  This year a new verson and it's b-side (a remake of the old Kim Wilde song "Kids In America") debut this week.  I know, I know, these songs are VERY cheesy, but for some reason they are clicking with me right now.

Coldplay are back on the charts.  Only one week after "Clocks" fell off the charts, their latest (US) single brings them back.  Actually this song was the second UK single and bubbled under way back in December right as "Clocks" was debuting.  Because of that, this song got way over looked.  While I do like this song, I don't think it is going to be a very big hit here.  I could be wrong though.

After charting a remix, I am going back to the "original" verson of "When Will I See You Again" by Erasure.  I actually think I like this better than the remix I was charting.  Anyway, they are back now on the countdown after a short abscence.  Their next single will be a new verson of "Oh L'amour," from their new GH album.

The Bangles are still holding on to the longevity champ award, and Daniel Beddingfield and Javine take biggest mover and faller awards, respectively.

Ok, time's up for now.  That's all for this week ... until next week ....
