Comments:

Only six debuts this week.  I'll get into them right now.  Paul Oakenfold and Novaspace start off the debuts this week.  Both won't last long I'm sure, but got enough umpf! to make on the charts this week.  Ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton makes the next debut with "Free Me."  This song sounds like it should have been recorded by the likes of Alison Moyet.  Very nice and a very big change from the normal brand of pop.  Maroon 5 and Linkin Park add a bit of rock to the charts.  Both are very catchy however and could do pretty well here.  Only time will tell.  S Club round up the debuts this week with "Love Ain't Gonna Wait For You."  Very good and catchy song.  Go check it out!

Looking at my top 3 is like doing an addition problem.  What's 5 + 5 + 5?  15!  That's the number of weeks Coldplay has charted with "Clocks".  5 + 5? 10!  That's the number of weeks Erasure has charted with "Make Me Smile."  As you can see, it's all turning into one big math equation.  My number one turnover has been SLOOOOOW this year.  There were about 10 number one songs at this time last year.  As of now, there have only technically been 2 (Clocks was the final number one of 2002).  None of the top 5 moved this week.  It has honestly been a very slow year for the top 5.  I dont think this trend will last forever though, but to be honest, there really aren't any songs on the horizon that are strong enough to knock any of these out of the top 5.

Missy Elliot manages to hold one for one more week, tying Jakatta's record for most weeks charted.  Probably won't spend another week on, but who knows?

Ok, time's up for now.  That's all for this week ... until next week ....
