Syllabus
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the following ISTE standards will be met:
1. Compare and contrast the social, resource-informational, and instructional components of integrated classrooms across a variety of settings.
2. Explore, evaluate, and use computer/technology resources including applications, tools, educational Web sites and software, and associated documentation.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of uses of computers and technology in schools and society.
4. Design evaluation strategies and methods to assess the effectiveness of instructional units that integrate technology.
5. Practice responsible, ethical, and legal use of technology, information, and software resources.
6. Use technology to enhance their productivity and professional practice.

Assignments and Projects:
All submitted assignments are expected to be word-processed and of the quality appropriate for graduate study. Ten percent (10%) of the possible points will be deducted for sloppy, or careless, work. Take the time to proofread your assignments to make sure they are free of typographical and/or grammatical errors. Do not combine several assignments into one. Each assignment is to be submitted as an independent assignment and will be assessed as such. The instructor reserves to right to return, ungraded, all work that does not meet this standard.

Late Policy:
Assignments submitted late will be penalized 20% of the total possible points. A late project is defined as one that was not submitted by the established deadline.

Incomplete Grades:
�I� grades will be given only in unusual circumstances. To receive an �I�
grade, a written request describing the circumstances must be submitted no later than June 1, 2004 and approved by the instructor.

Grading Scale
A 135-150         B 119-134     C  103-118 D   87-102      F 86 and below

All written assignments must be typed and double-spaced, references should be cited, and it is expected that written assignments will be organized and grammatically correct. Points will be deducted for assignments turned in late.

Academic Integrity:

All students should aspire to high standards of academic honesty. This class encourages cooperation and the exchange of ideas. However, students are expected to do original work, to do their own work except for group projects, and to properly reference sources when using information from others. Any instance of academic dishonesty will result in failure of the assignment in question. More than one instance will result in failure of the course.
