Does that title screen look familiar? Well, it should. Let me break the name down to give you a hint as to what this game is all about: So - Sonic Mari - Mario. It's a game featuring Mario going through Sonic The Hedgehog's world. Now, since this is a pirate game, you would expect some huge dissapointment. Like, it turns out to be just the Chip & Dale game, or another Street Fighter II game. But no, these pirates were renegades and decided to make a playable, and even fun game. The game is very faithful to Sonic The Hedgehog for the Genesis. All the sounds music from Sonic are reproduced as well as possible on the NES. Mario's even wearing Sonic's shoes! Although, one slight drawback: It's very fucking hard. There are spots where you can just get trapped, for example, if you have rings and you fall into a pit of spikes. The rings will keep bouncing back, and you'll never die. So you have to reset. So, in keeping with the pirate game tradtion, there are, bugs, but still, a solid game all around definitely worth the download time. |
