Research
Everyone has talked about where to find information on researching sites.   Little informatioin can be located easily.   Countless hours of time can be consumed and wasted.

I spend my free time reading old articles, surfing the off beaten sites for information.   Here are many sites that I have found and that are useful.  Below are links to sites.
University of Texas Austin - Perry Castaneda Library Map Collection
Nebraska Game and Parks Commision
MD'ing in G&P property is strictly regulated (in my opinion their regulations are meant to discourage MD'ing.)  But they do have info and a map viewer on their site that is better than Terraserver
USA Ghost Towns
Has general info, a good beginning point for research.
Abandoned Airfields in Nebraska
Good site, has very detailed information on abandoned military airfields
Nebrask State Historical Society Homepage
Old Nebraska Maps - US Genweb
Very useful, Genweb is probably the best historical site to use in research.
More Old Nebraska Maps - US Genweb
USGS Map Viewer - helpful aerial photo viewer
Lost Treasure USA - very informative site
US Government Archives - a must for the researcher
Virtual Nebraska - UNL website - somewhat useful, more info can be obtained from other sites, at least they can corroborate info.
Treasure Fish - very useful in tracking down info
Treasure Center - very useful site
Scrap Metal Prices
Metal Market Prices
Treasure Legends at Treasurenet.com
Access Geneology - useful in locating specifics
Treasure Hunter University
Early western historical maps - Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Dakotas, Montana, etc.
